Good morning all,
Early start again today. Paula, Diane and brownblonde feel better soon. I hope you have a good weekend.
Had a wicked night last night with the mac daddy of muscle cramping in my quads - not your normal kind of cramps. I started this just prior to having WLS so I know it is not related. All minerals etc test out normal Drs don't know what it is. Oh Well!
Scale rewarded me with a bounce back to day - back up to 153.1. My body is holding on for one more day. It will settle out where and when it needs to. I am ok with it. I will just keep staying the course.
Hugs everyone! Have a wonderful Friday! Lorna
121.4, back down and that was with a serving of ice cream!!!! It was wonderful. I only had 1/2 cup. In the past I would have had the entire pint in one sitting! The boys and hubby were excited for it too!
Will probably just lay low tis weekend. I have my post-op appt. with GB surgeon on Monday. Hopefully pain will be gone by then. Have an appt. for my second tattoo next Thursday. I'm getting one on my foot and thought it would be good to get when I had a few extra days off work.
I want to go out to eat tonight (our norm for Friday) but not sure I will be up for it. Will have to see how the day goes!
Happy Friday!
Good Morning!
125.6 today. Stable. I have been having some trouble with eating something as I am on my way to bed, a resurgence of an old bad habit. I think it is related to being so darned tired at night. I cut down on my daily caffeine which has helped my sleep duration but boy am I tired at night. My calories have been ok since I had been aiming for about 1000-1100 so even with this snack I'm still not above 1200. This isn't a snack I enjoy so I am going to try to squa**** rather than plan for it.
Plastics appt yesterday was interesting. It will be a while before I know how it all plays out. He said I was a "perfect" candidate because it is truly just skin and more a matter of tailoring than anything else. He heavily discourages plastics when there is still bulk.
Linda, I think you are heading East today? Have a terrific trip with family and friends!
Hope everyone is one the upswing. Diane O, thinking of you and your community as you deal with difficult times.
Just 12 hours til the weekend is here!

LOL, I reserve the right to change my mind!
abdomen, 1st not because the worst, but because it will be covered by insurance (per plastic surgeon)
2nd: backside
One of the more interesting things from appt was that he said time off work for #1 would be the same as #1 plus #2 (turning it into LBL) I always assumed that I would do #2 second because of dollars, maybe in Mexico. But, having it folded into the medical leave for #1 has big appeal. I'll get price quotes from 3 places in Seattle and maybe MExico, too and then decide. I have a desk job and he said that most people can go back at 2 weeks tho they will be fatigued.
3rd: medial thigh. He said he pretty much never recommends this because people usually have bulk there and it is a difficult area to heal. But, I am "perfect" candidate so he is making an exception.
4th: arms, down on list because of lymphedema in right currently. This would need to be under control for him to consider. But, he isn't saying no. This was another area he says he discourages people from doing if they still have bulk. But, again, if not for the lymphedema, he LOVED my hanging skin, he said it would be so easy to tailor it up.
Wild card: boobs. I don't have any currently and I don't have enough bulk in abdomen to make them although they could do both procedures at the same time. Also, I history of radiation which worsens complication rate. They COULD still make small ones but it is a 10 hour surgery! I don't know if it is worth it to me. It would be covered by insurance.
Timeframe: he said that I could proceed when I want. He said that people usually need to lose weight, I don't. Also, he sorted of counted back to when I hit a BMI of 25 as goal and said that I have been at a healthy long enough for him to consider me stable. When I proceed would depend on dollars/work schedule. It doesn't have to be right away but I am sure that I will get #1 done within next few-several months.

Morning all. Friday!!!!!!!! At last!!!!!!
Spencerella have great trip home. That wonderful joyous Newfie hospitality is so well known in my hometown as there are many families from Cornerbrook who settled here in the 60's.
sorry for the blasted leg cramps!!!!! Ouch!!!! Sugar tends to set mine off and all can do is walk if off and chug a mug gallons of water. It's the getting to the walking part that can oh-so-tricky.
calories 659 and walking 12,766.
the rain continues to pour. I need to get one of those rain slickers that the cops wear when they are gleefully handing out tickets to us speeders. My raincoat covers to my backside so everything else is drenched.
Good Morning...Nice relaxing morning. Here's an article I read and thought I'd share...
Breakfast was bacon and eggs from the Holiday Inn Express. Not bad...I bought an apple, banana, yogurt and peanut butter back to the room for just in case. I thought about it and it's really a fat girl mentality about having enough food available. I guess it's better than running to the snack machine. And, I don't have to eat it. I also have cashews and quest bars. I'm laughing at myself...
Hubby will pick me up for lunch. We plan to shop in the evening at the mall...I'll get some steps in.
Have a great weekend! Relax. Rest. Reflect. Rejuvenate.
Hi guys. At work. Wishing I were still in bed.
Scale at 160.6 today so yea!
I think I mentioned that the first day when I was really sick I was actually really hungry. Like stomach growling all day long, pangs of hunger hungry. So...I ate. I thought it's pretty unusual to want to eat when sick, but maybe if I was so hungry I should listen to my stomach.
But ever since then, I've been very not hungry. So I haven't been eating very much. That is such an awesome feeling, isn't it?!
Don't know how long I'm going to make it today.
Husband got us tickets to a show for tonight for Valentine's day, so I'm going to try to make it tonight. I'm pretty positive I'm not contagious, and I'm not feeling terrible, just very exhausted.
