122.2 - up a little. Still needing to take pain medication which surprises me, usually one day max for me and tomorrow it will be a week! I actually had to get up at 4:00 am to take one. I was up and about a bit more yesterday (but took a nap too). No plans for today except the ice cream is due to be delivered!
Hope you all have a great Thursday!
Good morning all,
I read everyone's posts yesterday and you are doing well, and strong in planning to overcome whatever obstacles we each face. It shows me that we are all stronger together! Great Job!
-.5 lb to (151.8) getting there. I will keep on keeping on.
Have a wonderful day everyone! Hugs! Lorna

Morning all
be gentle with yourself Paula. Every surgery has different recoveries. You are doing so well.
A simply dreadful day at work ( one of the worse in the past 15 years. Must have been something in the air ) visitors were down right grouchy, borderline belligerent. Some of the staff were the same which has never happened and left the rest of us opened mouthed.
Could not find waterproof shoes that fit the bus broke down and the rain lashed sideways.
Got home and the evening meal had not been started as all were waiting for me. How kind.
downhill all evening. The only bright part was the 11976 steps.
Today will be better!
Hope that your Thursday is wonderful.
Good morning everyone.
I'm feeling markedly better. I did wake up with several coughing fits last night. But I feel pretty good today save for a sore throat. And no fever. Wondering if I should go into work later. I was told 5-7 days. But usually don't they say you're not contagious after you don't have fever for 24 hrs.?
Scale was 161.4 this morning, so a little lower. I've been pretty much eating what I want/can. My throat has been so sore that some things have been hard. My protein has been super low. But I just decided to give my body rest while I heal.
Paula, I was thinking about your ice cream delivery.....when Amazon gets their drones going I can totally see the drones being used for ice cream deliveries.
Looks like the group needs some TLC today! Hoping that everyone feels better soon.
Brownblonde, our employee health might let you back after 24 hours of no fever. But, we would make you wear a mask to protect the rest of us, anyway :)
125.6 this morning. Yoga later today. Also on tap is a plastics appointment which is really my first appointment of what I assume will be a lengthy journey.
Be kind to yourselves today.

Wow, a plastics appt. - exciting! I soooo want to do this but can't even think about another surgery for quite a while! Plus, living in the Midwest, I'm not sure we have any surgeons with much experience with post bariatric surgery patients. I'm thinking I might have to look at plastics in Chicago - about 3 hours away!

In service meetings all day. Sitting on my butt. Being the fidgety kid this is not the best for me. There is a table just behind me laden with quiches, muffins, croissants, two different breakfast cakes (coffee and blueberry), Fruit salad, milk and juice. On every table except the one at which I am sitting are bowls of chocolate and Valentine M&M chocolate chip cookies. Lunch will be catered.
I am focused, have brought my own food, but am feeling a bit resentful and worn by the constant exposure to tempting crap food. This morning I am very grateful for the growth I've made during the past year.
