Not to be disagreeable, but to me Pizza is a refined carb because of the crust. I have to be careful of all things containing flour.

I agree it's definitely a refined carb, so I generally don't eat pizza.  I was very hungry and made a choice to eat it.  What I tried to work through after was - ok, I ate this, now I need to move on from it instead of letting the floodgates open and eat everything I want, just because I ate something I usually choose not to.  The fact that it's a refined carb makes it more difficult to deal with, not the number of carbs.  What it ended up being was another #%@&ing growth experience, which I hopefully won't repeat!  :)

Mary that carb breakout sounds physiological more so than mental. Overall, well handled.

Thanks Linda!  What I learned from this is to make sure I have better options available to me, as if I eat something like pizza, it ends up being really hard or near impossible for me to stop at just that.  I hate that fact, and would love to be able to get past it, but the truth is that I will always have food issues.  However, recognizing what my issues are and taking steps to minimize the chance of me making poor choices is what I need to focus on.

Scale once again in the same local (actually up .2, but that's negligible)

GREAT cardio session yesterday. I hit a new level of intensity which, while grueling, was exhilarating, too! I do interval training on the elliptical and I raised the incline to a 10 and the intensity up to a level 14 for the intense intervals. I have never made noise doing cardio before, but I sure did last night! Loved it!

Ron is ill with a UTI and bladder infection (with a possible mild blood infection since he did not seek medical attention as he should have early on and let this go on for almost a full week!). He is not a good patient. 'NUff said? LOL!

Playing with the idea of dropping to 1000 calories to get this weight moving a little faster, but I have to remember I lost 5.5 pounds last week and I need to give my body time to adjust. Patience. Keep the path. My nut doesn't want me under 1200 EVER (I smile.... and think to myself, "Um... I survived quite well on 400-600 for several weeks. I don't think cutting back to 1000 is going to kill me!).

Wish I could get a bit more sleep, but I experience the magic of Miralax again this morning. OH JOY!

Do you take measurements ? I'm betting you would see the results of your training there, especially on weeks your weight stabilizes a bit. (5.5 pounds last week is huge !) Just a thought.

You know, I never have taken measurements. I always went by pant size. I'm not really that frustrated, but I have to remind myself to be patient and let the weight take care of itself. I can only control the eating and the exercise. The rest will do whatever it's going to do.

You are really rocking your workouts these days!  Good for you!!!  I am almost inspired enough by you and others here, to get my sorry butt back to the gym too!  :)

Hey Paula, you asked for a review of Costco's frozen Quinoa and Kale.  I like it! It is super simple: just quinoa, chopped kale and mostly salt and pepper, and maybe lemon for flavoring.  It is tasty but so far I have not been tempted to keep dipping into it.  The kale flavor isn't over powering.

I know quinoa isn't hard to make but love that this is zero effort on my part.  One bag is two Costco sized portions but at least 4 (or more) Shel portions, depending on how many carbs I want.

Greetings rock star maintainers

Well, down a half after the Monday night bean bowl. I am really not doing any off plan eating. Just need to up protein and move my bloomin" arse!

Was going to raku fire today buts its rainy and horrible. Welcome to winter on the north coast. More studio time today I guess. I am grateful to have warm dry places to spend my time. The homeless are fairly visible around here and its sad.

Morning coffee is Starbuck's Bright Sky blend that someone gave me for christmas.  A real treat.  Didn't think I would like the blond coffee but this is so good. A new splurge item that does not involve chocolate.   Diane S.
