very early morning to you all.

not able to sleep, so am up and at it.

interesting discussion Shel.  Thank you.  And agree with the W.W. Sentiments completely.  It is also costly to join the programme.

scale down and walking is better, although the snow has made me loathe to walk far.  Freezing rain is the promise for this night.  Oh joy.    Spring, please come.  And soon.

enjoy your Thursday.

Carbon-

Sorry you couldn't sleep, but it was nice to log on and see you had started us off! The weather here is dismal too. The weekend was just deemed an" inside weekend". I'm going to have to make peace with my treadmill, as I really prefer walking outside.

Shel's "challenged my lifelong identity" insight has got me thinking about how much my identity has been tied to being obese (with a major emphasis on all of the things I believed I couldn't do because of it) for 50+ of my 60 years experiencing life. I'm grateful for this insight.

     143.6 (down .4) today. Did my measurements today. 34, 26.5,37. I was floored !

     Have a great day!!

128.0 this morning. Better eating day again yesterday - only got 30 minutes of exercise in at lunch time during work yesterday.

Wasn't it only a few weeks ago I was lamenting that it was hard to get 1,200 calories in and I was looking for suggestions? How quickly things have changed! Now I am finding it difficult to stay at 1,200. I've had a hungry week! Some of it is real physical hunger and some of it is head hunger I am sure. I think increasing my activity level and carb level are both to blame here. I don't like feeling hungry .

My NUT said I could have up to 150 G of carbs per day, but I know that is too many. The last 2 days I was at 96 and 65 but the week prior I ranged from 102 to one day hitting over 170! Probably averaging 120. I also need to be more conscious about getting in more fluid - there are days that I don't make the 64 oz. goal.

Off to call about a DEXA scan today. Exercise plan is to try out my new Biggest Loser boot camp DVD that came in the mail! Fun!

Good morning!

Carbon, so apparently your weather is NOT exactly like Seattle weather.  Maybe too far north to generally stick with rain?

I liked the comments about personal training yesterday.  My biggest fear is that I, too, am going to get so much out of it that I will have to figure out how to finance it.  It might have to share with yoga!  Time is another resource that is in short supply.

Diane, fabulous measurements!

Scale 124.0 today which is down a pound.  I hit 800 for the first time yesterday for calories.

Enjoy the day!

Shel

Happy Thursday everyone;

Nice to see you two here so bright and early.

Scale moved .3 (151.7) I'll take it. Hope to hit my red line of 147 before holidays on the 24th of Jan start, but we'll see! It is moving in the right direction and I'm moving Yay!!!!

Boot Camp yesterday was amazing, it is the most fun I have had exercising in a long time.  So I did 70 mins of boot camp went back to work, then went to the Y and did 25 mins of running intervals. It feels fabulous to be back at it.  I exercised 5 to 6 times a week for three years and then had been told to stop for about 5 months due to medical issues. So this now feels more like my comfort zone.

Stupid thinking though this morning when the scale only move slightly. Where is my water weight loss, I should have gotten more out of this week, you know what I'm talking about.  But I remembered to quickly remind myself of my weight loss phase where I weighed once a month.  My thoughts were health then and I just knew as long as I was working my program the scale would move when it moved and in the long run I would get there. Live was much less stressful because I surrendered and believed and just stayed stedfast. I think for this week I will continue to weigh once a day but then after that I will go to once a week; unless my head starts getting in the way. I always find it amazing how many different ways my head can set out to sabatoge me.

At 60 I am still learning and hope to continue!

Have a great day everyone! And Rock your sleeves and butts! LOL
