Good Morning All-
I smiled when I read about my fellow school people being blocked from OH yesterday ! Those filters are just not logical some times ! I also have to second Kairk's recommendation about breakfast. Breakfast is critical to my energy level and stamina for good choices throughout the day. I drink two cups of caffeinated coffee when I get up, and stop a half hour before I leave for my 20 minute drive to work. I make a Quest bar last most of my drive to work. One half hour after I arrive, I start my 32 oz. bottle of cold decaf with 1/2 a container of EAS carb advantage. Early on, I couldn't have hit my protein and calorie targets without that combination. My body responds well to it, so I have kept it up.
I also want to mention that I'm finding Sargento Balanced Breaks (sets of 3, 180 calorie containers of cheese, nuts, and dried raisins or cranberries) to be just the right combination/quantity/macros for a morning snack. They are with the refrigerated cheeses.
Holding at 144 a second day. I'm shifting down a size in pants again, and am settling into size small tops as "my size" (It previously depended on the cut and fabric). I am thrilled !
Happy hump day !

(Six months and one week.) AT GOAL month 8. Maintaining at goal range (139- 144) ~ four (4) years !!
Down one more to 114, which is interesting after merely upping my water, taking a laxative and lowering my calories for a couple of days. I do believe most of last week's four pound gain was carb and salt bloat but not all of it. My calories were up significantly so I think there was at least one real pound of weight gain. While there's a warped voice in my head telling me I've done enough, I know that's not true. Fully expecting to see a bit of a gain that reflects my 'true' weight so will stay the course. Also, as before, I want to stay in weight loss mode until I hit 112 again.
DH is taking extra time off this week so we stayed up late watching Netflix 'Making a Murderer' documentary series. Half way through and it is absolutely riveting! Have a great day, my friends. Hugs to each of you.

OH is still porn at my school. I'm on my phone. I've turned it in. Hope they fix it soon. My scale is moving in the right direction. I ate breakfast. I have a work out scheduled with my trainer. I've been on and off with my trainer since 2005; the last 3 years consistently and going on 4 years. It's an investment I can't afford not to have. I need the accountibility and her individualized program. Sounds like we're all doing well for the most part.
Happy Hump Day!
Hi all, still 127.5 which is good. no longer trending up. Cheers for routine eating. That and Costco shrimp. Easy and low cal. Tonight I will have to actually cook something. Rainy weather makes me want soup.
Hmm, seems like everyone has a personal trainer except me. I don't have a gym either. One of my many excuses is that my hands are sort of messed up and its hard for me to grip a dumbbell and i can't flatten my hands to the floor for push ups or some yoga. Hand therapist says she can help me with some alternatives. guess i had better try that.
Well, off to the studio and such. Have a good day all. diane
Confession - I don't exercise at all. Not that I'm suggesting that's a good thing, but that's where I'm at. Also I detest anything to do with gyms, so to each his own, right? Instead when I'm active I like things that take me outside and that offer a social element. For me, that's been distance running, but I haven't done that in a couple of years. Thinking of restarting - and I mean from scratch - at the end of the month.

I see nothing wrong with not exercising vigorously at all. Is it vigorous exercise good for us? Sure! BUT, study upon study has shown that simply keeping moving has huge benefits. Walking, doing chores, gardening, being on your feet, etc... are all of great benefit.
I like the feeling of getting strong and being in better shape than I have ever been in my adult life. It does something for me. Gyms are tricky, for sure. There is a lot of emotional garbage to get through for formerly obese people and then there's the whole gym rat/gym barbie thing to deal with at some gyms. I love my new gym because there is NONE of that.
It's really whatever floats your boat and what works. You've done so well staying in your range seems like exercise doesn't need to be part of your plan.
I don't like working out in gyms or taking group classes and I'm an exercise physiologist that work in a (rehab) gym all day! I much prefer exercising outdoors when the weather is nice or doing various exercise DVDs (step aerobics, Walk Away the Pounds, Yoga, Zumba), treadmill etc. at home in the winter. We have a treadmill and circuit weight station in the basement and have a good sized TV with cable down there too - works for me!
I'm impressed that you maintain so well without regular exercise!
