Day 2 of reset did the trick. Down 3 lbs. this morning. Felt good to get rid of all that extra water weight. I was up 3 times last night letting it go! LOL!

Set a new weight/weight loss goal for myself. Shared it with the shrink and she didn't balk, so I'm going ahead with it. I like Dr. C's 3 month time frame, so I'm going with that again. Looking towards April 1. Then on to July 1. Ultimate goal is to be wearing my "goal outfit" on July 18.

Feeling positive. Sounds like everyone else is, too. It seems all is well in our worlds!

What is Dr. C's "3-months time frame" all about?  Interested...

Dr. C (who treats me like one of his own, btw) suggested that for those getting back on track as far out as I am now, that the expectation maintain a 600-800 calorie level and to lose weight as rapidly as a new post op will only result in frustration and most likely long term failure. He suggested that I look at weight loss in 3 month chunks. His experience has shown him that for patients farther out with some regain that trying to lose too fast doesn't work and that being too relaxed doesn't work either because there is too much flexibility in time frame, and therefore not enough motivation to stay focused. He suggested that I lose 20 pounds in 3 months. Having the the plan, a goal, and a time frame all works together to pave a path to WL. I ran with this philosophy and lost 20 pounds between August and November. I've been maintaining that loss (give or take a few pounds) ever since. I am now choosing to get back on the three month plan and take off the last bit of regain.

Although I'm very familiar with and have been a 'student' of Dr C's approach to weight loss and maintenance, I had never heard his approach to regain.  This makes so much sense!

Good for everyone with the reset plans. We are forging ahead.

I  like the 20 pounds in three months.  I for one cannot or seemingly cannot keep going on 600 calories a day.  Yesterday was 1134.  And walking.

Snowing like the dickens here and I loathe it.

Checking in late...I can't ck in at school anymore as they have blocked Obesity Help and classified it as porn!!  I'm talking with the IT person in the morning...lol Checking in at lunch saves my sanity.  I could do it on my phone but typing on that is a pain.  It may come to that!

Love the quote!

I love Dr. C's 3 month philosophy...my though was 10-15#  before Spring Break.  And then another 10# or so after that.

Im having the same issue...drinking coffee and such until lunch and then ravenous in the afternoon.  I need to start having a protein drink in the morning.  I feel like after I start eating then I'm hungry the rest of the day...especially around 3pm.  I need to have a better plan.

Onward....

LOL! OH was blocked for me today, too. I got IT to let me bypass. They checked out the site and found the reason it's blocked - the chat room! Apparently there are a few issues there, otherwise OH got a pass.

What's up with everyone not eating in the morning?????

I thought we all knew by now we have to get some nutrition in our systems within 1-2 hours after awakening. I'm actually eating less in the morning right now because I don't seem to need it, but I always, always bring enough for a mid morning snack and an after school snack with me to school. When we let our blood sugar get too low in the morning and then we eat and have a spike and then a fall it makes us super duper hungry! Best to keep blood sugar levels steady. Protein throughout the day helps do this.

You don't need to eat a lot in the morning, but some form of protein will really help with the afternoon hunger.

What!!! Coffee is not food???  I have never been a breakfast eater...I was doing shakes in the morning and got lazy.  I do know better:). My trainer preaches to me all the time about breakfast.
