Good morning all,

A quick visit, I am struggling with emotions the last couple of days, not good news things happening at work. So far I have not eaten over them but I am always teetering. I will keep working my program and carry on.

Thanks all for being here!  Hugs!

Have a great day and weekend!!!

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Sorry to hear things are crappy at work. That plays such a big part in our lives, doesn't it!  But you're successfully managing your emotions and that's huge. One day, one hour, one minute at a time.

Lorna, I want to remind you that you've already demonstrated that you're exceptional by losing over 200 pounds and keeping it off, so you've got more in you to draw upon than most people!

Sending hugs to you Lorna!  Sorry about the issues at work.  I know that can really impact on us in many ways.   I agree that the fact you were able to lose 200 lbs shows a lot of inner strenght.  You can do this!

Happy Dance today! I'm down another 1.3 today, which brings me to my lowest weight since I started on my no sugar - low sugar style of eating on August 10th. I can also now say I've lost 25 pounds! Whoohoo! Only 15 more to reach my safe place and then a little more to get to my "happy" place.

I woke up with a very scratchy eye that is tearing terribly, is red and is sensitive to light. Great! I also have a stuffy/runny nose so I'm wondering if it is all connected or if these are two separate issues. I sometimes sleep with my eyes not quite closed (since having my weight loss eye bags removed) and it feels like an intense version of that dry feeling. I hope it's not Pink Eye. I guess I'll know by this afternoon. If the eye doesn't feel better by the afternoon, it's probably not from being dried out over night. Keeping my fingers crossed! Don't want to be sick for the barn hunt seminar I have three of the dogs signed up for!

Looks like most of us are going to be experiencing crappy winter weather this long weekend. I vote for making some nice hot tea or coffee, lighting a fire, cuddling up with a blanket and a good book or a movie.

Hope you all enjoy your Friday and coming weekend!

Hi All!  Doing the count down to our trip to Florida - 24 days - YIPEE!!!!  We too are expecting nasty weather - snow, sleet, freezing rain, yuk!

Still struggling with the food, and eating too many calories.  I did got to the store at lunch and stocked up for work.  I also gulped and weighed myself this morning.  Obviously not what I wanted to see, but not as bad as I'd imagined.  Trying to do some planning for the weekend, as being storm bound always seems to trigger wanting to eat special foods.

I am also thinking about starting to journal.  I haven't done so in a long time, but I need to look more deeply at what's up with me.

Everyone stay warm, dry and safe!

Mary

Hi all, up a half here. Seems like i am slowly creeping up. Must put a stop to this.   Had pot stickers for dinner last night. Package said 5 were 270 calories which seemed ok. But that was too much - i was stuffed.   something healthier tonight.

Yikes Paula get to the doctor. Sounds like a miserable experience. My surgeon makes all his patients take actigal for 6 months to avoid the GB issues.  But it can happen to anyone . Hope you get it resolved.

The rain has let up but its still pretty cold.  I had the heat turned up at the gallery yesterday and walked in circles and figure 8's around the displays for something to do. people did come in to get out of the rain and i invited them to warm up.  We are about due for one of the week long sunny spells we usually get in mid winter.

A pot luck party tomorrow. Oh joy. Another food trap.  give me strength.     diane s.

Thank you for all the encouragement and the support.  It truly does make a difference!!!  It's almost 3pm here and I've managed to stay on track.  I know I can for the rest of the day, too.  My food is logged.  Hard workout this morning.  It felt good! And, my hair looks fabulous!!!
