Good morning!
125 this morning so stable! (I was worried that yesterday's goal weight might have been a fluke.) My idea to add some carbs/calories in begins today and is planned out in MFP. It felt illegal buying quinoa and a mango at the grocery store yesterday.
Carbon, always impressed by your steps. My daily target is 7000 and I don't always reach that! I do get in yoga at least once a day but not exactly the same type of exercise.

Hey All-
I had a five pound loss for month seven. I had a follow-up with NUT today. I was once again strongly advised not to go under 140. Personally, I do not agree. I am sticking with my revised range of 136-141. I'm strong and healthy and not catching every illness at school.
Hope to get out with labby , Sadie , before snow and ice begin.

5'5" at 136 gives a BMI of 22.6. I am curious if she said why she doesn't want you below 140. Plus, your targeted range (136-141) includes 140. I find the NUT's quibbling over 4 lbs mysterious. And, if it were me, I would find it very annoying unless she had a specific reason.
This whole decision about weight targets bugs me ever since I felt judged by bariatric nurse at last visit for having a BMI of 23. Wasn't that the point of the surgery? I could understand if my BMI was grossly low, but it was in the upper range of bmi. Her reason for not going lower was "because you look thin enough." I was bundled up in a jacket, all she could see was my upper neck, head and tips of fingers.
My NUT prefers that I stay above 21 because at 21 she sees adults with more abnormalities: problems with platelets and a handful of other odd things that I would have never considered, etc. I loved that she had a particular reason for her opinion. My surgeon said anything down to 20 is fine.

The only reason she gave me was that I'm over 60. Really ? Not good enough for me !

125.2 today. Ate some caramel corn at work today - unplanned - but still in my calorie range. I see my bariatric surgeon and NUT tomorrow. Anxious to see what they have to say.
Did yoga and walked for 30 minutes yesterday. Sore from the yoga (new exercise for me) I kinda like that muscle soreness - proves I did something good for my body!
We are having our first snow storm of the season - may get up to a foot! Yikes!
Hi All.
I'm late today chiming in. I have been out straight, so haven't had time to catch up on previous posts, from while I was away. I hope everyone had a joyous holiday! Mine was fun, though tiring. It was good to get home late Saturday. Yesterday was a very laid back fun family day.
Today has been a difficult day. I woke up with a headache that hasn't gone away. Work issues are starting to wear on me, and am feeling like it may be time to look elsewhere. It won't be easy, as I'll be 61 next month, so I have to think things through carefully.
Food today was the one bright spot. Though having a headache is no fun, it makes me not want to eat much, so it was easy to stay well within my planned carb and calorie goals today.
We're expecting our first significant snow storm tomorrow. Snow days tend to be signals to eat, especially comfort carbs, so I need to be mindful of my choices.
Have a great night!
Scale took a big jump to 118, which is my my red line number. In addition to some extra calories (but nowhere near 14,000!) I've had more than my share of salt and carbs so I'm going to give myself a couple of days to see where the number settles.
jonesing for carbs :-(
