January 1st, 2016 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!

8:00 my time and I'm the first person here! Must be because I'm a Fuddy Duddy and didn't ring in the New Year at midnight. I was curled up in my nice warm bed making ZZZZZZZZ's.

Scale was 127.0 this morning which I'm pleased about but makes no sense. I was expecting a 1-2 lb. gain. Had Chicago style deep dish pizza for dinner last night and ate way too much Costco's rice cracker and nut mix through the day. Calories were over by about 450 and my carbs were up to 157 grams yesterday - by far the most off-plan day I have had since my VSG and I was down .4 on the scale. Maybe tomorrow will show the damage - though I plan to do much better today. The pizza was actually planned for and it was wonderful. The last few handfuls of snack mix - not so planned!

I can't believe someone else was up to post at the same time as me!   I'm deleting my post and moving it here. :) 

Hello!

My family plus a friend of my daughter's went downtown to watch the Space Needle fireworks last night. What did you all do?  

I am up silly early this morning for no good reason.  I have my kindle in arm's reach and plan to get a good start on Intuitive Eating this morning.  I have a 1.5 hour yoga workshop later. 

126.2 this morning, up 2 lbs from yesterday.  It isn't from overeating.  Perhaps from salt from some  Chinese food last night.  Also, I have been out of ketosis for a few days and I suspect that will cause some natural increase in water weight.  In my (disordered?) mind, I like the idea that over the next several weeks, I will replace tha****er weight loss with fat loss.  

In the meantime, I have been spending more time with MFP as I play around with adding a few carbs back to diet to stay out of ketosis.   No surprise, the carbs themselves are a pleasure. 

Enjoy the holiday, I hope everyone gets a lot of rest and relaxation.

scale not moving. 

Going to watch the Polar Bear Swim and as we are -5c ( sorry not sure what that is in F ) there are sure to be screams of delight when they hit the water!!

Happy 2016 all !  Weight stayed the same. We went to see Star Wars in IMAX yesterday. I loved it and the thought of THE FORCE motivated me to follow my plan. We took down the tree and decorations this morning. I'm about to bundle up and take Sadie for a walk.

Oh, I stayed up far too late last night! Didn't get to bed until almost 2:30. I'm kind of wiped! 

Had a very nice dinner out with friends - a bit of Caesar salad, couple ounces of filet, maybe 4 TBS baked potato and some green beans. Indulged in a bit of dessert - 4 of us shared 2 desserts. Came home had a small glass of sparkling apple cider at midnight. Then around 1:00 am was overly indulgent and had some Christmas Stollen and some ice cream with Ron. Sigh.... 

I am swollen and bloated this morning and up 3 pounds. Not good but, there is no reason I can see for such a huge overnight gain other than perhaps the restaurant food was very high in salt. Who knows. I hate when my fingers swell. Already pounding down the water. 

Going on a bike ride later today. Have a turkey brining and will put that in the oven this afternoon. The turkey will keep us in meat for the week!

EDIT: Okay, TMI, but I realized when I visited the loo I had not had a BM in several days. Let's just say I now understand where a lot of that 3 pounds came from. I do believe most of it's gone! LOL!

Well the new year brought me half a pound. Oh well, its a journey and I expect the occasional detour. I made little pizzas last night using a low carb tortilla and turkey pepperoni.  pretty darn good i must say but probably too salty.  

No new years eve partying here. spent the evening working on year end sales numbers for the art gallery.  we are old indeed.  today's plan is to eat black eyed peas and watch the  rose bowl. I have a friend whose birthday is today. I wrote on his Facebook page that they were having a parade in Pasadena in his honor.
