Good Morning-
Today is the only day this week I work, so I'm up early to head out in the freezing rain.
I'm back down to 148.2, 1.4 pounds from my all time low. For me, the planning and logging worked to keep me on top of caloric intake on days I ate foods off my typical plan. I never accumulated 3500 surplus calories, so my gain was mostly holding on to water. I've learned that getting right back on track and raising the water intake are keys for me.
Devon... looking forward to you sharing the thoughts you are working through. I'm just about done reading "Intuitive Eating" and am sorting out what sounds reasonable for me and what is too loose goosey for the balance I seek.

127.6 - up 2.4 from yesterday. Holding on to water I am sure - I had a salty day yesterday. Snowed in this morning. I am supposed to be at work right now but they have not plowed my neighborhood street yet. Got stuck twice in the road in front of my house - took all 4 men/boys in my family to push me into a neighbor's driveway. Now waiting for the plows to come through. I so hate winter in Wisconsin! Dreaming of Maui right now!!!!
Count me in as someone who is frozen! But, I have to admit that I have turned into a weather weanie. I am from Iowa and know what real cold feels like (feeling bad for you, Paula) but now live in Seattle, home of winter rain (Carbon, assuming we have similar weather patterns?) So, it technically isn't below freezing but I sure behave like it is, esp since VSG. I have spent more money on "warmth" (blankets, coats, heated this and that) than I have on new clothes.
Weight 124.5 this morning. Had about 57 carbs yesterday, today it appears I am almost out of ketosis which is what I am shooting for. Do you all have a carb target?
Right now I am thinking 40-60 carbs daily but that is totally arbitrary and based on just enough carbs to get me out of ketosis. I have always lost weight best when low-carbing, but, have never successfully maintained so I don't know what that looks like. (Still need to start Intuitive Eating!)
I moved my body composition dexa up to next Wed because I can't wait to see what's there!
Grab another blanket!

You will have to experiment with what works best for you. Most I know who are in maintenance do very well somewhere between 80-100 carbs per day. That is still low carb by most standards, but gives you plenty of flexibility to eat healthy carbs from fruits, dairy, vegetables and occasional grain products.
I do best at 80-100 as well. But it's something we each have to determine for ourselves.

Morning! I guess I'm not alone with a significant jump up on the scale. I didn't eat enough to warrant a 3+ lb. jump, but all of the rich, salty food from the past week have caught up with me. Yesterday was a great food day and so far today is, as well. I am guzzling fluids to flush the excess crap out of my system. One thing I ate was a lot of very salty popcorn at the movies on Sunday. I had stayed away from popcorn for a long time, and I proved to myself, yet again, that I can't handle it. I will keep eating that stuff until the cows come home, so it needs to be officially put on my list of trigger foods for now. I'm sure all of that salt gave me the headache I had yesterday, which is still there, though lessened, today. The very hairy ride into work in the snow this morning probably didn't help my BP either! :)
All of you experiencing nasty weather too - stay safe and dry, and everyone have a great Tuesday!

Up a few tenths of a pound - so basically stable. I'm just going for maintaining my eating and losing the extra water weight this week.
Sunday is the chosen reset day. Ron says he's on board, which will be great for him, if he can stick to it.
Had very odd dreams last night about a friend who died in July. In the dream it turns out she hadn't really died, but was doing some sort of AA challenge. Weird, huh? Guess I must still be working through the sadness over her death at some level.
hi all, well still at 127.5 which is ok. feeling like i dodged most of the holiday bullets and no junk in the house so feeling pretty good. I ordered some premier protein powder which costco doesn't carry in powder form anymore. Its one brand that I could make into hot coco without it curdling so I am hoping to up my protein with an evening hot coco. cheaper than all the health-wise little packets plus i add some coco powder.
finally got a new battery in the fit bit so need to get it running. gallery duty this afternoon so my main exercise will be sweeping the floor. diane
Down one to 117 today. Still looking for extra carbs and we still have extra food and drink easily accessible due to guests coming in this evening. I'm trying to merely 'observe' as opposed to 'judge' my emotions and behaviors. Very aware that there's both an emotional and a physiological component to what's going on with me right now.

Self observation has been key for me! Props to you for watching and taking it in without judging. Very tough skill to learn, isn't it? But so very, very useful. Yesterday I noticed how I kept veering towards high carb, high sugar items. It's still not out of the system! Today is better and decided combat the carb cravings with steel cut oatmeal, a little dried fruit, frozen blueberries and greek yogurt.
