Down another pound, 128 this morning and I still have some wraps on my legs so probably a little less than that. Physical activity still pretty much curtailed, probably for the next week. My surgeon wanted me at 128-130. My original goal was 135. I think I will set my range for 125 for a low and 135 for a high. I think it is going to be difficult to fine turn my calorie consumption.

I'm looking very thin in my upper body and face but think that will probably even out in time. I would eventually like a lower body lift with tummy tuck and arm lift. Didn't think I would need a breast lift/augmentation but now I think I do. I've lost almost all of my breast tissue and now just have some sagging skin left. That was a surprise to me. I lost 100 lbs. about 7 years ago and didn't lose so much muscle mass and didn't have so much sagging skin everywhere. Gotta start hitting the weights.

I'm going to try some house cleaning today. Clean a little, rest a little. I have the whole week off work for recovery from my varicose vein surgery but want to ease into activity since I stand the whole day at work. I saw my vein surgeon yesterday and they made 34 incisions in one leg and 27 in the other to remove those nasty veins. I'm surprised I feel as good as I do.

Paula, I am going to strongly suggest you rethink your goal weight range. I gave myself a 10 pound range, too. What I found is that once I hit that red line weight, It was real weight gain. There was no dialing back. I had to work very hard to get it back off. So much so that given my mental state at that time I got frustrated and it became one diet cycle after another until I had gained 40 pounds.

As I approach my goal weight range again I am taking a much stricter approach. I am giving myself a 5 pound range AROUND my goal weight. So let's say that I choose a straight 180 as my goal weight. My range will then be 178-183. 183 will be my red line weight. 3 pounds I can deal with. 10 pounds was too daunting.

Just my two cents having been there and done that.

Good to know - I'll have to think again what might be a good range.

I would agree with Kairk's suggestion of five pounds maximum above 'goal' for red line weight. For me I use only three pounds for max of 118. And when I strike it I usually dial bac****il I'm somewhere below 115, so I end up losing abut 5 pounds total.  It's super hard to lose more than that when you get further out.

Still hanging out at 115. I really need fluids!  Lots of them!  Passed on the pie but not the glass of wine.

A day off today. Getting my hair done and going to buy lights for the Christmas tree. For trees of Christmas long past (haven't had one in many years) my motto has alway been that you can't have too many lights.  Let's see what that sets me back.

Scale is down two full pounds...still pluggin' away.  My parents are coming tonight for dinner and then to Andy's Christmas Concert (Band).  I'm looking forward to it.  I'm actually leaving school a little early:)

17 days until Christmas...my students are counting!

Heck, so am I. I told the kids today, "If we count today, only 9 more school days until break!" The room cheered (as did I).

Ah, Linda you and I are birds of a feather with the lights. One year I had 1,750 lights on my tree - each branch wrapped individually with three lights at the tip of each branch. Can you say OCD??? But, the tree was stunning - especially because I put the lights on a dimmer.

Scale was kind again. I'm down to my low of last Friday. Hoping to keep this up at least through Christmas and be even closer to my mini goal. I seem to be losing about a pound per week, which is fine. (yes, I'd be happier with two per week, but I'll take what I can and to be honest I don't want to get any tighter with my intake right now.)

Still feeling super positive about everything. My shrink observed that I seem calm and relaxed about the process and I really am. I have no doubts that I will get to where I want to be. It is just a matter of when. There is no if involved. Gotta say, I love this mental state. Makes life so much more pleasant and positive.
