Checking in! 8.5 years out.....

Hey everyone! Anyone here that's 8 or more years out? Would like to say hi to all and any familiar faces from my early days of constant stalking profiles on OH....LOL

Hello and welcome!  I'm just a bit over 4 years out, so nowhere near you.  It's nice to "see" new faces here and will be great to get some perspective from someone who is so far out.

Welcome back! I am only a bit over 8 months out from surgery and just hit goal. Looking forward to hearing from someone that has been out for as long as you. Where in Hawaii do you live? My husband and I are planning on retiring on Maui in about 10 years - can't come soon enough! We will be visiting the island this coming summer though and scouting out where we think we might want to live on the island!

hi and welcome.   i am 6 years so one of the oldsters in this group. Thin Lizzy is 8 years I think. way back when i started on OH there were just a few vsg posts per day. now there are zillions. this group was started by me after i was a year out.  join in as we deal with the life long issues .   diane

I had my surgery 10/1/09 .... I lost a total of 104 lbs.... I was satisfied.  Then in 2011 I had the first Stroke....then 11mos later I had another Stroke.... then one month out I had a Gran Mal Seizure.... I've gained like 30lbs back..... cuz since the second Stroke....  I can no longer eat salads.... I eat just carbs..... I'm miserable..... this time I hope it works for me!
