good morning everyone.

for those of us who are feeling under the weather hope that better health is on its way.

scale up a bit from some poor choices and 'feel' mightily obese.

A friend has talked me into going to a 6am opening so that a deal may be had and then tonight am going with family to a fairly swishy restaurant that has a small local teenage band that have heard and enjoyed.  It is going to be a loooooong day.

Happy Friday all.

Happy Friday all. I will be doing NO SHOPPING today! Blech.... Black Friday.... not my thing!

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving despite having this damned cold. It's really nasty in the mornings - muck in my throat, no voice, tired even after 9 hours in bed! Blah..... but once I'm up, I'm pretty much okay.

Ate pretty much on plan yesterday. NO FOOD COMA! LOL! Was a little low on water, but okay. I enjoyed my turkey and brussels sprouts and carrots and had a taste of sweet potato casserole (sugary!!!!), stuffing and mashed potato. For dessert I had the no sugar added pumpkin pie I made (very good, too) and then decided to have a taste of a delicious looking apple pie. Oh boy! was that good. It was so good, in fact, I took a piece to eat later in the evening and eat it I did! I also indulged in a few pieces of chocolate - 5 to be exact. Again, my choice. the only choice I can look down upon if I want to is I did have an extra sliver of the sugar free pumpkin pie late last night while watching TV. However, I enjoyed every last bite and taste of all that I ate. Because you know what, I viewed them as treats and it was a one day only thing.

I have the strangest feeling of peace about how I ate yesterday - no guilt, just acceptance and now a sense of joy that today really is a new day and Thanksgiving is over and I have no desire to eat the pie that's in the fridge for Ron. I have some left over sugar free pumpkin pie that may prove to be an issue. If it is, I will give it to my pop or to the garbage disposal!

Oh, yes, scale is up .8 today!

Enjoy your Friday.

Good morning everyone!  Glad you Americans now have Thanksgiving behind you. As Carbon mentioned, Black Friday is becoming a thing here in Canada too. But not a big thing. I hope it doesn't become a big thing.

Ive had some gastro troubles the past couple of days - with IBS it's always one extreme or the other! I've spent the past two mornings on the bathroom.  Of course I loved seeing 113 on the scale but it won't survive replacing fluids today!  Nevertheless, the scale is now rewarding me for all my diligence over the past six weeks!

hi all, we had a nice dinner at the in laws yesterday. great because i didn't have to cook except the mashed cauliflower.  ate lite - big splurge was some stuffing and gravy. weight the same.   I did sort of pick at olives and turkey while cleaning up. the great thing is all the leftovers are there. none here.

dinner tonight will be here and i got a ham and veggies and told everyone if they want a dessert they gotta bring it. I am feeling like I got off easy this year not having to cook all day.

Kairk I'm with you - no black friday shopping.  no malls. not even a drugstore.

hope everyone is feeling better.

My SIL  who was smo has lost over 100 lbs this past year without wls,  she was near death and finally decided to shape up.   she is so much better.  Have given her some of my old fat clothes which i had not tossed because they were expensive or special.   its great.  Anyone mind if I invite her to join this group? she still plans on losing more but will certainly have maintenance issues and might benefit from support.

Of course, your SIL is welcome...the more the merrier!  Losing weight is hard no matter how we've  lost it!

Its been a lovely week filled with family, friends and great food.  I've had no guilt this week...and I'm back on track today.  What a difference from past years where the holidays started on Halloween and continued through New Years.  I ate my way all the way through...even though old habits peek through they will not prevail.  Awareness creates change.  I hope I can continue to be aware, forgive and move on, enjoy life, and focus on all the positive changes I've made...

I'm still not feeling like myself ...I guess it's going to have to run its course.  No workout today...resting and watching and interesting Nextflix series called The Man in the High Castle...really good.

Enjoy the week y'all!
