Nov16 Monday a brand new week
on 11/16/15 6:37 am
Morning all.
A wonderful food day, kept to the plan but only 2 miles of walking. Nothing happening scale wise.
Went to a large Christmas fair and because I knew a lot of people it was difficult to walk by and not make any purchases. Lots of ' murmuring'. " so lovely ", " isn't that wonderful" with purse fully clutched. Am not sure how many actually make money. Materials are not cheap plus by the time one pays for the table I would hazard that their average hourly pay is about .25. But it was good to bump into people have not seen for a time.
enjoy this Monday!!!!
Good morning everyone! Carbon I'm glad to see you're on track with the food. Well played at the craft fair too!
I've not done well over the past three days and the scale reinforced that this morning with 119. A new maintenance 'high' so it's scary. It started with an unplanned social gathering Friday evening where I drank some wine which as usual led to overeating. Haven't been able to get the carb monster off my back since.
I also took a pretty good spill on my motorcycle yesterday. Bike has a fair amount of damage but I have none to speak of. However it was traumatic and I had a hard time calming myself after. So you know what I did. Yup, had a big glass of wine and then fell into a vat of ice cream.
So today, I'm hoping to pick up my good habits. Was tempted for half a minute to try something extreme to deal with the extra pounds but that crazy thought didn't last. I'm aiming for a 'normal' calorie reduced day, in the same vein I've been doing for the past month.

I'm home sick today with a upper respiratory infection...I've been sick since Saturday so I went to Urgent Care where its first come first serve. I was the 2nd person there along with another lady who arrived before me. Two older men pulled up and seriously cut in line. It was all I could do NOT to use my teacher voice and teacher look and scold them for cutting in front of an old lady (she was there for a shot) and me...a sick older lady who was crabby and tired from coughing all night!!! @&$)"!
In other news...getting a handle on the food intake. Much better the last few days!
Happy Monday!

So, I'm still up 1.6 from my low weight last week. Damn sugar! LOL! Actually, it's okay. It's my reality and I knew on Friday I would suffer consequences, but I don't think I realized how significant the consequences would be. It seems that the weight will go up very, very quickly and it takes a much, much longer period for it to come back down. I wonder if it is simply a matter of age- this rapid gain, slow losing cycle. Whatever the reason, it sure makes me want to stop and take pause before eating a food that might promote inflammation or weight gain.
There is still one piece of the chocolate torte in the fridge. It was calling last night, but I reminded myself of the consequences and that was enough to deter me. I am going to ask Ron to make sure it is gone by the time I get home this evening. Now there is also the matter of the pumpkin roll a friend brought by saying, "It's for Ron. You don't have to eat any." This is from a friend who is obese and is constantly trying to eat better and lose weight. Sometimes I feel as if she purposely goes out of her way to tempt me. Sigh... I will also ask Ron to take the Pumpkin Roll into the book store tonight.
Have been on track today and am feeling positive about what I've learned from my little stroll down Pie (and sugar) Lane!
