morning all
everyone is doing well. yay!!!!! It would be nice if more 'lurkers' would join the conversation. Every voice is valuable.
a very rough night with intolerable leg cramps. I do know that sugar brings them on for me and having been 100% man-made sugar free for five days the only thing can think of is a salad that was at a potluck last night. It was one of those that had noodles and cabbage and pine nuts. I had a teaspoon. ?????
in any case drank the water and walked the living room for seemingly hours. However it is not the end of the world and in spite of the lost pound being found yesterday, it was an very busy excellent food and exercise day.
am day off. And it promises to be a busy one again. Will return to work to get a so-called rest.
Kairk: how do you de-fog a vehicle??
greetings all, yeah all you lurkers need to chime in. i have little of interest to report and some of you must have more exciting lives! up to 127. spent yesterday sorting papers which i hate and which hardly counts as exercise.
hubby came home with a huge amount of halloween candy which we need but he bought good stuff so i had to sort of hide it. still untouched.
yikes carbon, hate those leg cramps. get some quinine water. diane
Hi All! I wasn't here over the weekend - I need to start doing that - but did read all of your post to catch up. Thanks to all for your kind words and encouragement. I keep plugging away.
Carbon - great idea about the water. Sorry about the cramps. I've gotten calf cramps my whole life, and the past couple of years I've been getting them in my ankles. I can easily take care of the calves, but the ankles not so much. I'm right with you walking the floors until they subside.
Kairk, so happy for you! You've been really working hard at finding peace with the food, and all of your efforts are paying off.
Diane and Spencerella - hope the football games were good! The black bean brownies sound yummy!
I also hope more folks join in the conversation.
Well, today I feel fat in my clothes, just like I did last year when I got back on track. Have to be brutally honest with myself that the weight is creeping up, so my eating is not where it needs to be and I have to address it now. Today has been on track so far. We're going out to dinner tonight to celebrate a birthday, at Olive Garden, not an easy place to eat healthy. I plan to find something on the menu that is reasonable and order that. I can have salad and some form of grilled chicken.
Have a great rest of the day! Mary
Not much to report here, either! Same old, same old - which is very good.
Scale was up another bit today (.3 of a pound). No reason. Perfectly on plan yesterday, so it's just one of those daily fluctuation things. I will just ride it out. I know the weight will continue to fall off if I stay the path.
I'm noticing I'm having a "hungry day". Not pleasant. Will have to be extra aware this afternoon during the afternoon "transition" period.
Carbon - I went to "smog" the van - meaning getting an emissions check for renewing registration.
Yes, I would love to hear from those lurkers. I mean, really, aren't there something like 1200+ members on this particular forum? Post people, post!
Hungry day for me, too...ate lots of protein and veggies and then I ate candy!!! lol One of the other groups I belong too said if I'm eating Halloween candy already, I am doomed. Hmmm...I prefer to think I ate a piece of candy and it was good; even normal.
Have a great evening and tomr is a new day!
I do not understand why you would be "doomed"! Nonsense. Even I, the candy/choco-holic, would not be doomed. I might have it rough for the rest of the day, but sleep is an automatic reset (at least for me). That said, this really brings to mind that people give far too much power to food (myself included in the not so distant past). Hmmm..... need to write about this..... See what you've done Lesa!
This is also the same group that said if you eat a slice of regular pizza you might as well lay your fat pants out on your bed. I call that being the food police and food shaming!!! It's a FB group and they sell products; some of them I really like and some I don't care for. However, don't you dare make a comment about their products if it's negative. The "founder" herself has had some regain. No judgement here. However, she shames people but yet openly admits to drinking alcohol. I stay in just get get my voice heard about things I feel strongly about but one of these days she will delete me...lol
