Down some more today. I have now passed the -18 pound mark. 12 more to go to be satisfied. 20 more if I decide to go to my happy place. We shall see. No decisions yet. Just keeping on.
Carbon - Not sure what the G word is (either the brain isn't working this morning or I'm truly clueless!). I will tell you that the plan is more important for me at home than at work or when I'm out and about! It is at home that I have down time and many transition times and opportunities for what I like to call "walk bys". Walk Bys are those moments you walk by or near the kitchen and decide to open the cupboard or the fridge and take a peek to see what's "good". While I work on changing that behavior, I am careful now to have foods that fit into my plan. Those are string cheese sticks, lightly salted dry roasted almonds (not a fan of the raw almonds), boiled eggs, quest bars when I absolutely NEED the sweet, and I now keep sugar free popsicles in the freezer. So if I have a walk by moment, I can safely eat those things without guilt or worry about veering off my current plan.
My nut also gave me these wonderful 15 calorie candies called Meal Enders (sort of against my no sugar mantra, but I decided to see if they would work - and they do). These little candies are covered in a coating of chocolate and then the hard candy part is made up of different herbs and something very tingly. By the time it has completely dissolved my palate is clean and I have no more desire to eat. They are pretty awesome. I have the mocha. Here's a link to the website. Check it out. Not sure if it addresses any of your issues, but.... http://www.mealenders.com/
If you want, I'll be happy to send you a candy or two via USPS. That way you can try without ordering. Let me know.
I was also wondering if you couldn't have hot milk(or sugar free cocoa made with milk) or turkey instead of bread when you get up at 2:00 am? Both the turkey and the milk have chemicals/components that help to relax. Both of those options would be much better than eating bread.
Ron lost his wallet at work last night, so he's in a mood. Nothing in it except his driver's license and some almost used up gift cards. He is smart to always put his cards in his pant pocket while at work, so no worries there. He just doesn't like keeping his wallet in his pants. Hopefully, it will turn up, but you'd think it was a catastrophe by his mood. Poor guy!
127. too much scale obsessing going on here. when i look in the mirror i see a skinny person. my surgeon's original goal for me was 135. gotta look on the bright side. gonna raku fire today. always fun and good exercise.
I assume the G word is grazing. or goodies. or goofy. or g-damn.
Great post Kairk. you should write a book. those candies sound interesting. my hubby is big on sugar free popsicles and there are also these 40 calorie fudgesicles. lately I have been buying those sliced apples in a bag. seems like silly packaging but a whole apple is often too much and a few slices are really filling. I think its one of those things that closes pyloric valve. diane
