congratulaions Blue, and also congratulations on an up coming zip lining anniversary. Nice

Yesterday was NOT nice. At all. Out of control with food and only walking was the graze-walk.

This morning feel as large as a house. Remorse and guilt.

However today is a new day. Starting over.

Carbon - No sense in hanging on to the guilt. It happens. Reflect back and see what the trigger is and try to plan for the next trigger episode. You'll read about my not so good food day below. I'm feeling very okay about it. There were some strong triggers associated with my off eating and I knew what they were and just went with it. Now it's done and I'm back on plan.

Very happy about my Blue, but completely exhausted by the day's end yesterday. Yesterday was not a great food day, but not exactly horrible either. I ate half a hot dog for breakfast (REALLY?), but that was the ONLY food available at the dog show and I had been up since 4:00 am and had only had some coffee and a protein drink and my water and vites. Then we got lunch around 2:00 and I had half a quesadilla from a little hole in the wall taqueria (not so bad really, but greasy with butter fat from some great cheese - YUM). On the way home Ron wanted to stop in a little gold rush town (actually and old copper mining town) called Copperopolis and there was a little ice cream shop. Ron wanted a shake so in we went. I had a single scoop - was great, but not conducive to WL. Got home, tended to dogs, unloaded, etc.... got around to dinner after 8:00 pm. We were both exhausted. I went and picked up some burgers. Granted I did have a low carb, lettuce wrapped burger, but it was still fast food and probably salty as all get out and lord only knows the quality of the meat!

So needless to say, I'm up a little bit today, but I'm okay with it because there is definitely a reason for some inflammation and water retention! Back to it today. No worse for wear and no regrets. I had a great weekend and the food just happened to be a little bit off. Such is life. I still feel very much on track and in control.

Hey Kairk, congrats on the new champion. I know what a ton of work it is. Gonna special Blue? Do plan on coming up sometime to Lost Coast Kennel Club shows in July.

well I managed to get quite a bit of gardening done. went to the dope grow supply store (of which there are many around here) and got some really good lined gloves and a good pair of clippers. so we cleaned up all these unruly plants and got a lot of junk off the deck. still more to do but i feel better for it, and back to 126.5.

Carbon don't fret. every day we get a "do over". diane

Hi All! Congrats Kairk!! I too had a shakey weekend with food. I know what triggered at least some of it. I was in pain all weekend from what I thought was a pulled muscle in my upper calf, following PT on Thursday. The PTA this morning worked on it and it appears to be a small joint just below and to the side of my knee joint, that got irritated. It feels a little better, but still not totally gone. Anyway, when I'm not feeling well, I've always tended to eat more and/or the wrong things, throwing caution to the wind. My sweet tooth kicked in and, even though the stuff I ate was sugar free, I still had too much. Needless to say, the scale has been going in the wrong direction. Today is a little better, though I ate extra at lunch. On a good note, today is the first day that I don't have to take aspirin twice a day, to avoid a blood clot from the surgery. I've been having something to eat as soon as I get up so I don't take the AM aspirin on an empty stomach. What I found was that, by the time I got to work, I was hungry again, so I'd have more to eat. Today, I had my usual one breakfast when I got to work. No one ever said this journey was a straight shot. There are lots of twists and turns in the road, but we hopefully keep moving forward. Have a great day! Mary

WARNING GROSS POST - TMI

Ok you were warned. This morning i did a mega turd which plugged up the toilet. Major stoppage. Neither hubby nor I could get it with the plunger. So resourceful hubby looks on u tube. Finds a post about how to unclog a toilet using ho****er and dish soap. Worked like a charm. So if anybody out there has this issue go to u tube.. Meanwhile I damn well better have lost some weight.
