Monday Sept 10. Labor Day
Scale up today! Just a smidge (.7). Plenty of water yesterday, but more salty food than usual (cheese, bacon, pesto, 3 oz of hot sausage, Cajun spice, nuts,....) and boy, oh boy, did I have the evening munchies last night! Therefore, too many salted nuts went down the hatch after dinner. It was my way of dealing with a sweet craving.
Interesting how cravings can work. I had a craving for something sweet when heating my lunch in my friend's RV. It quickly went away. Then again when I ordered a coffee (black) at Starbucks. Then last night I just wanted to eat and nibble. I figured it was the unsatisfied sweet craving, so I had some nuts and a couple of cheese crisps. Then fixed dinner and as soon as I was done eating, full as I was, I wanted "more". I know that one all too well. I waited a while, then had some more nuts and prepared a Greek Yogurt with Splenda and fresh raspberries and a TBS of chopped pecans. That finally did the trick.
So, too much salt and probably too many calories (I did not track yesterday - taking the weekend off) BUT I KEPT TO MY NO SUGAR COMMITMENT. Today marks 4 weeks. I have lost an average of 2.5 pounds per week. Not too shabby. Nope, not at all!
What the F? chainsaw at 4 am? actually sounds like something that would happen in our dinky town where everyone has a huge pickup, chainsaw and a pit bull. actually I can hear our neighbor singing and pounding something.
124.5. guess the day at the beach counts as exercise. dog got more than i did.
yeah Kairk, salty nuts can give the nibbles. another good snack is a small apple. its very filling and i think it does the pyloric valve trick. diane
It's been a great weekend...food wise I did a little indulging but I'm back to it. No guilt! Walked with my trainer this morning almost 5 miles. I'm going to commit to walking three more times ...and one more session with my trainer. She's gone on Wednesday or it would be two more.
I'm ready for fall weather...
