Hi all!!!

New Spectacles are always worthy of a gasp of disbelief and horror!!!!

A very busy day yesterday.  A medical appt 3 hours away meant a VERY early start and a late homecoming.

My walking partner and I went.  It was lovely weather for a road trip.  She is a ' professional ' shopper and so after the med visit that is what we did.  I was ready to drop but she was like the energizer bunnie.  Goodness!!!!

and so this morning we went walking at 7am and did 3 miles.  Am at work and we are busy.  Going home to crash.

Woke uo at 6:55 so no time to jump on the scale.  It was a great food day And of course much walking.  Costco was the final straw!!!!! Those stores are massive.

I feel almost like a new post op today! I'm down another .4 pounds which makes it 2.6 pounds for this week alone! That was pretty much my post op loss rate. It certainly can't keep up at this rate - would be nice, but I'm not counting on it!

Good workout yesterday with trainer. Have made a commitment to working out next week on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Hold me to it people!

Here you on the glasses Diane. I crossed over to the dark side yesterday and ordered my first pair of progressive lenses. Up until now I've been using dime store cheaters. I can't manage with the on and off of the reading glasses anymore. I can't read a label at the grocery store, can't read the computer by the late afternoon or early evening, and worst of all can't see detail when I'm finishing a dog for the ring. Luckily, I have insurance that covered most of the cost, but I still laid out $350 for these babies! Can we talk about the price of the frames? Jeeez! Most of them are molded plastic that are massed produced in Asia. They cost pennies to produce. Talk about a mark up! $300, $400, even $500 frames. Total rip off!

It's a gorgeous day here. One more dog to groom and then I will enjoy the rest of my day.

yeah glasses are pricy.  and i have absolutely everything wrong with my eyes so  need trifocal progressives with prism. hubby has extreme prescription too. so we can't go to costco or a discount optical place.  the place we use only had a few frames that would work with hubby's mega prescription.

back from the art gallery where i managed some good sales.  got my hubby a walking stick for his birthday. when we walk the dogs there are occasionally loose dogs in the neighborhood so he was always carrying a broom handle just in case. looked dorky so i got him a cool one.  D
