Carbon - great thinking about the skinny jeans! The scale doesn't always tell us the whole truth, that is for darn sure!
I'm feeling very up today. The scale greeted me with the good news that goal #2 has been accomplished. I am down now 10 full pounds since committing to the no sugar and very limited white flour and processed food food program.
Something I have noticed is that my physical hunger has lessened quite a bit since starting this program on August 10. I have also gained a heightened awareness of the difference between the "head" hunger and real physical hunger. I am still plagued by head hunger in the afternoon hours (after 3:30ish when I'm done with school for the day****il about 5 or 6. Then I get "munchy" after dinner, sometime around 10 or 10:30. I've been dealing with this by feeding myself nuts (which are 100% on point for me right now).
Has anyone had any success using particular strategies to get through the head hunger for the "nibbles" or the "munchies"? If so, please do share. I'm open to suggestions. Trying things on for size has become the norm for me over the past months and I'm willing to experiment with things that have worked well for other people.
hi all, 124.5. so the floor unsettled a pound worth. So it goes.
Lots of projects at the art galleries these days. Many visitors in the tourist season and improvement projects under consideration. Leaves no time for "fresh fudge" worry.
yay on the pants and yay to Kairk for getting through the sugar detox.
yeah nuts are my snack and someone suggested getting unsalted ones so you don't eat so many. i do this with almonds and its pretty good. cherry tomatoes are good now and an easy snack. and since i have to up my calcium, a small glass of skim milk is a treat. put a drop of vanilla in it. diane
My weekend has started...happy to have a four day weekend. Tonight, HS football starts. My hubby will now be busy every Friday night. Saturday is the start of college football for us. We're going to the game and have planned to eat at Panera Bread. I can make a good choice there. And, at the game I can have peanuts. That will make me "work" for my food a bit. Sunday will be a bit of a challenge as we're going to a cookout. I plan to take food I can eat and maybe sample some of the other keeping mindful of my intake.
I've walked today. I'm pretty proud that I've continued to exercise even though school has started. My usual MO is to find every excuse in the book not to exercise. I'm finding I'm not as tired these days and I'm sleeping better.
Head hunger is a real *****! I've been eating a lot of veggies, nuts, chicken, eggs, turkey sausage and quest bars. No binges this week. No candy or chips!!!!
Have a great weekend!
