July 4th. A special day. What are YOUR plans?
Happy independance Day! We had friends over last night thinking that we could watch the fire works display on our patio...our area was doing displays on the 3rd...However, the Country Club is doing their fire works tonight...lol We had a good time anyway...
Today, taking a short road trip with a cooler packed...seeing the sights and hiking. On the Patio tonight...
Enjoy the day!!!
Oh! My scale has not moved...I talked to my trainer and she suggested I lower my fat intake. Hmmm...
Happy 4th!
Am back from our annual Rotary Club's pancake breakfast. It's a family tradition. This year we added my 91 year old uncle to the party since he now lives close by. We like supporting the Rotary Club. (Rotarians supply local 3rd graders with top quality dictionaries. It's a great program. One from which my own students have benefited.) Had two link sausages and one pancake. I really do not like pancakes any more. Too processed. YUCK. Gave the rest of the pancakes to Ron. He ate them with relish.
Went to the A's vs. Mariners game last night. The A's got handed their butts on a silver platter. Sad (unless you're a Mariners fan). I was reminded again how I've changed when it comes to food. I ordered a hot link for dinner and it sucked. Since I didn't like it, I didn't finish eating it. I gave it a couple of bites, but then, meh,... and threw it away. Enjoyed some popcorn instead.
Thinking about hitting the gym in a while.
Up 0.2 this morning. Negligible.
happy 4th. 124 - not so happy. worked at the gallery this am. a lot of visitors so no too much need to stare at the "fresh fudge" sign. then off to a cookout with friends. I ate about 2/3 of a cheeseburger with no bun, 1/2 deviled egg, a couple of pickles and olives and i was stuffed (oh, wine before). then the evil dessert queen gets out the homemade cherry brownie ice cream cake and starts slicing off these pieces that are an inch thick and 6" by 4". people actually ate these with whipped cream and cleaned their plates. i ate one bite and hubby ate a small serving. It honestly made me hurt just to watch people eat this stuff. people eating amounts that are probably pretty normal but seemed absurdly huge to me. so i am approaching 6 years and good ol sleeve is still on high alert. guess i was truly stuffed with protein.
Reminds me that holidays are about company and not food. ...
