morning

a better day yesterday, stuck to my food and exercise plan.  But the scales do not reflect it.

am working 6 days this week and today is day 4....Monday seems like such a long way off.

What are YOUR plans for the weekend.

Happy Friday!  I had a better day with food yesterday, but the scale is in a holding pattern - no big deal.  I think sometimes that the scale has a delayed reaction.  We seem to "get away with" eating more, as it doesn't always show up on the scale the next day, but then does the day after.  It sometimes works the same with loss, as well.  That's why I try, but don't always succeed of course :) to not get too worked up about the scale.  The scale is a real frenemy at times, as if I ignore it, I give myself the green light, at times, to eat more/more carbs, but when I weigh regularly, it has too much influence on my emotions - positive and negative.  But, for me, I need the accountability, so I try to deal with the ups and downs of my emotions.

This weekend is a mixed bag of projects around the house that are long overdue, carting my oldest to a couple of places she needs to go, as she lost her driving privileges for a time due to using poor judgment, and hopefully some play time as well.  Apple, I hope work isn't too busy and you get some you time as well.  Have a great day!

Momsy, when you talk about eating too many carbs, what kind of carbs do you mean? The highly processed crap or things like steel cut oatmeal, sweet potatoes, etc... you know the unprocessed types.

Hi Kairk!  Usually, it is, unfortunately, not the healthiest carbs.  Usually it's tortilla chips, triscuits, and the like.  Though I do regularly eat things like sweet potatoes in small quantities.  I don't go overboard, but it's the mindless eating that I have to be careful of.

Doing well here. Scale is SLOWLY moving down in the right direction. As you know, my game is pretty much about getting the head trip in order.

Feeling really good about sticking to my current behavior goal. I think that is why I'm seeing the scale go down. Looking forward to June 15. That's my day to set up my food plan for the summer months. In the meantime, I'll be reading The Gift of My Compulsions by Mary O'Malley. The title alone got me, but it was recommended by a dear VSG friend.

Weekend - dog shows and report cards and placement cards! Blech to the school stuff. Yay to the dog show!
