Thursday Maintenance for March 26th

Morning everyone:
Thanks for the water ideas. I MUST get a routine for that. Pretty slapdash most of the time which usually means none of the time.
Holding steady. Still down the two pounds.
For me the worst part of the 'eating' day is in the evening. Am going to learn how to knit in order to occupy my mind
AND hands.
What is YOUR worst time?
I'm up after cleaning eating and a hard work out. I'm doing my part; the scale will follow. I've changed my weigh day to Wednesday. My worst time is mid-day and evening. I plan to learn to crochet again but just haven't done it. I'm trying to stay our of the snack drawer at school and my kitchen at night. I have prepared veggies if I need to have a snack. Sometimes that works! I've had 5 days of clean eating...
My absolute worst time is directly after school until dinner time. I have found (and am finding once again) that a full meal with protein, vegetable or fruit and some fat really helps take care of the craving for grazing. I think it's worth experimenting with.
I have been so careful with added fats for so long that I've been actually cheating myself out of satiety. Today I added 2 tsp of butter to my lunch and was so much better off because of it. NO chocolate craving afterwards. (Usually I crave chocolate after lunch. Today not so!) Maybe some full fat dressing with the veggies or a 1/2 cup of full fat Greek yogurt with some berries would get you through until dinner.
123. works for me. yeah, we are all evening eaters. I asked my surgeon if this was a contributing factor to being obese and he said EVERYBODY eats in the evening. So I amuse myself with ipad games when hubby's tv selections are not so interesting. he has been fixated on this Vikings series which is fight fight fight. i would rather do battle on the scrabble board. diane
Hi All! Weight is the same as yesterday. Late afternoon and evening are also my worst times. I may have a healthy snack in the afternoon if needed. I also have something to drink that feels like a treat. I get Dunkin Donuts decaf with just a little mint hot chocolate in it, or make my own decaf with sf cocoa added. I've been having a large mug of tea in the evening - usually Bengal Spice, which is the herbal version of chai. That helps me to stay out of the food, and ramps my fluid intake up as well.
Had my first PT appt. this morning. They are trying to increase my ability to bend and straighten my knee, prior to surgery, as it will make the recovery period easier. I have exercises to do at home too. Hoping for some improvement in range - improvement in pain will have to wait until after the knee is replaced. Can't wait until I can ride a bike again and do pirouettes in jazz class that actually look like pirouettes. :) Have a great day! Mary
189.2, down another 1.2 lbs today.
I am an eater when there is no structure.. evenings, days doesn't matter
I do amazing when I'm at work, I know what I'm eating I have my daily schedule at work and it works for me. When I don't have any structure in my evenings or weekends it leads to disaster.
this past weekend I made it a point to get out of be before 9 and actually got stuff done and stuck to my schedule. If I sleep in past 9 I'm finding out in my head the rest of the day is useless so I may as well do nothing which leads to mindless eating.
I turned one of our spare bedrooms into a craft/reading room and it's far away from the kitchen so totally remove myself from the kitchen. I find it works when I can't wander around the main floor and pass by the kitchen thinking "it's been 5 minutes since my last snack, time for another one"
have a great day!
