Only slept 2 hours coming off night shift....probably means an extra meal. That's the thing about this maintenance mentality I'm trying to develop. I panic too much about calories. I need to remember that they aren't the enemy as long as they're nutritionally sound and within a range that will allow me to maintain my weight.
I am finding that sugar in mulitple forms is readily available at school right now (and it will only get worse until we break for the winter holidays!). It takes a concerted effort for me to stay away from all that crap. Should I succumb it starts the spiral immediately.
I printed this out to help me today. Here it is for you. ;-)
Discipline is remembering what you want and not straying from the path that will lead you to your desired outcome.
I'm doing well. I've been steeped in puppy raising. They are now 10 weeks old and I still have six living here. 2 (or maybe 3) will leave this weekend, then the last ones will leave the Saturday after Halloween, which will leave me with my pup that I'm keeping from this litter. She's an absolute doll!
On the food and weight front, I'm stable with my weight, but haven't lost much in the past month due to travel and what I refer to as "binge" behavior. I've been doing a lot of reading and research on food and food addiction and have gained a much better understanding of what happens to me when I eat my personal trigger foods. This has helped me stop the blame game and understand how important abstinence from certain foods for me will be if I wish to continue to be within normal weight limits.
I could go on and on about the books and reading I've done, but.... If you're interested, let me know.
