First family visitors to our new place in NY - turned into a bit of a carb-fest, I'm afraid, and resulted in jumping a few pounds. Retained water from increased carbs, so it will come off this week, but a slap in the face - and a reminder to eat clean.

A good friend is biking the entire west coast and called this morning only 7 miles away. we will meet up for dinner tonight. of course, he will want to do a major carbo load of food. we think we will go to the cafe at the marina so we can see all the boats and seals. he can load up on french fries and hubbie and i can eat seafood. a good place. there is also the lumberjack cookhouse which is quite colorful but the food portions obscene. diane
