185... ugh. Too high.
Went back this week to Minneapolis for what will be my monthly visit to HQ. First thing was I found that my Bike #2 which I left at my house was stolen. Not covered by insurance as we have a high deductible. So that was $5,000 lost - the frame was brand new having just been replaced under warrantee.. dang it! My intent was to bring it back to new jersey in my bike carrying case and have both here. I was 2 days too late according to people who saw it in the garage last weekend. Ugh. Then to add insult, Delta charged me a $200 excess bag fee for the bag - into which I stuck a few random things including my bike stand... after I had traveled with it 10 times with no fee. Then, when I got home and opened the bag, the TSA had inspected it, normal, but neglected to put all of the parts of the bike stand back in, so now I have a worthless bike stand.
On the plus side, the visit was great, I got to spend hours with my brother and sister-in-law, parents, and business is booming, so on the whole, despite the loss of a bike it was a positive trip. The bike is only $$$ - connecting well with my brother was worth more.
Have a good sunday!
SO I got zero workouts in this week as I had no bike...

Tom, so sorry about your bike! Your attitude is great; really, what else can you do? Still, I know what it's like to have stuff stolen...even after years sometimes the anger and loss climbs out of whatever closet in my brain I have it shoved into, and I have to deal with it again.
142.4 Scale god feeling generous today...back at the happy place.

I have definitely felt that way in the past. This time I'm trying to let it go... it's gone, i'm not getting it back, I'm determined not to ALSO pay in lost time and emotional misery on top of the money... so far, so good. I'm madder at delta for charging me on the bag (since I supposedly am a "valued customer" as a Diamond Medallion) than I am about the bike being taken by someone who doesn't know me or care.

113 today. My ideal 112 was short lived.
Tom that sucks. But that kind of crap can eat us up if we let it for sure. Glad you're letting it go. I find it helpful to talk about it for a brief time and then I avoid the subject after that until it holds no more emotion.
