Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday September 9, 2014
114 today. It's not my happy weight but it's fine.
We had a freak snowfall here. Trees are completely bending with thick wet snow. Beautiful!
I'm counting on it being gone soon because we have a motorcycle trip planned for this weekend! Our last big one for this year - Going to the Sun Road, Glacier National Park, Montana.

136.0....getting seriously freaked out about the slow, gradual weight climb I'm seeing (up 4 lbs. in the last month) and really questioning "why"? Looked over my food and exercise...all is well, pretty much the same for the last 5 months.
But then I started thinking about what else has changed recently. Oh yeah - I started HRT (that's hormone replacement therapy for you men) about a month ago. Ding, ding, ding - yes, we have a winner! In years gone by I could never do hormones like BC pills because it would raise my blood pressure much too high. And I tried HRT 6-7 years ago with the same kind of results and quickly stopped them. Of course I never recognized weight gain as a side effect because I was always super-fat in those days. And what's an extra 4-5 lbs. when you already weigh 220-240, right?
I recently decided to try HRT again, reasoning that with a normal weight that I wouldn't have the BP issues - and I haven't. But the weight - this is NOT OK! I will be going off of them and will continue on my regular eating and exercise plan to see if the weight naturally comes back down in the next 4-6 weeks.
God damned estrogen
Here I am again. Still sitting at 180.8. I will get this extra weight off, I will, I will, I will. I can't throw out everything I spent both financially and physically to get down to within 2 lbs. of goal. The problem was that I stopped there. I have learned some lessons, so hopefull once I get it down again this time, I won't be going up here again.
"Sitting" is sometimes what our body does as it rests, recovers and prepares to drop further....if, when you take that mental inventory of your day with food, and you come up righteous and clean- well, just know the scale cannot stand up against good behavior, and will relent! Continue to string those good days together, and goal will be yours!

119.5. The sun is out and its going to be a good day. got some art commissions finished finally and its always fun to deliver them.
Lots of fun messages here today. Cindy YAY you got your goals. Nice job. Motorcycle trip - way cool. HRT, not so cool. I feel lucky that I didn't need to do that. Everyone who is working on getting off some stealth pounds that sneaked back on - you CAN do it and think how good you will feel. Have a great day all. Wish we had some snow here. Diane
