VSG Maintenance Group
daily maintenance july 5
Am i first here? all of you must have 4th of july hangovers and ate red white and blue cupcakes. i slept through the huge amount of fireworks here. tired from trip.
weighed in at 122 so 2 lbs gained on trip. not surprising. i ate pizza and sugared pecans and such but did not dive into cookies or ice cream which my mom eats all the time. stressful trip caring for mom. also, my brother has been having seizures and may have a brain tumor. not good but won't know for awhile. more stress and up all night at hospital. cripes its always something but no excuse to gain weight. now i can get back to a better routine. we took mom out for a lot of fun and she loved it. that was good. diane
179 - cycled 100 miles yesterday including a personal best 50 miles in 2h 26min... training for a 400 mile race (4 person team - we change off every 20 minutes for 400 miles) at the end of July, so cranking up the speed efforts...
Hope you have better news on the health front with your family. My sister was diagnosed with colon cancer and just had surgery a week ago. Seems like they got it early enough - although it was a pretty big tumor. Get your colonoscopy done folks - that's what saved her... just her routine, age 50, colonoscopy.

I usually don't weight on Sat but I did today and was 124. Under 125 (either 124 or 123) seems to be my new normal.
In the AM I trained with my club. We did a hill ride that took about 2 hours. I got lost! But I found everyone again. Then we ran for 30 minutes. I did okay on that. But I want to be able to run 3 miles in 30 minutes and I'm not there yet.
Then I went off to meet some people to plan out this Fun Bike Ride I'm in charge of for the 2nd Annual Sports Day for Charity. We talked a bit about it and next Sat. we're going to do a trial run with some of the skills obstacles on the course so I need to get cracking on making them. Anyone have some spare plywood they can lend me to create a ramp? LOL

YES!
I totally want a ramp or 2 or 3 on my bike ride I'm organizing for the kids but I'm having trouble making it happen.
