Morning everyone:

Down a smide.  .5 so that is good.   Going to a ' dinner' tonight. Hopefully there will be food that can eat.  Normally there is a lot of pasta which I do not like one little bit.

Have a great day.

A smidgen here, a tenth of a pound there...you will get there, girly girl just as long as you don't "eat it back".  Enjoy your dinner tonight!

Back from  the annual church convention- (and let me tell you, Nazarenes like to eat!)  There were "chocolate" breaks in the middle of the business meeting--yah, and ok- a few Hershey's kisses did cross my mouth--but, (small victory) when the freaking bag of Skittles came down the isle----(groaning) I passed them on... Two days later..and who knows what buffets, receptions, hotel roomie who likes her snacks and turn in your meal receipts  endured and dealt with...I am safe-home-and down 1/2 pound.   God is good- thank you sleeve, and, yah--confessing to vanity--I total-ly  rocked the business casual!   142.4 and enjoying my Saturday--hoping all are doing the same.

119 today which is low but fine.  really gotta get more protein in.   taking my friend for sleeve monday and am getting her onto the protein drinks  so its probably a good time for me to start back on to some.    going to her house to get her hooked in to OH - think she was not doing something right with the computer.   then gotta get myself ready for the trip with my own food issues.

Today is my mom's 89th birthday.  never thought she would still be with us as the last year there have been some rough spots.   she was on hospice but they kicked her off because she gained 9 lbs.    oh well.    i will be visiting her in two weeks.       diane

I didn't know you could get kicked off of hospice!  Happy birthday to your mom.

Nicely done Bonnie!  I'm not sure I could have passed on the Hershey kisses either - I do love those.

151.3. The good news : I'm down 9 (omg!) pounds from last Saturday.  Yep, that's what eating a boatload of sugar does to me, cause you know that's gotta be almost entirely carbs bloat.  The bad news: I'm still up about three pounds from where I was May 1st, so this was a lost month for me.  I still have more than 10 pounds  of regain to lose.  It doesn't take much for me to fall back into binge eating, clearly I have to be very vigilant, but if I can just keep the damned sugar out of my mouth, I seem to be able to manage any other triggers and temptations.  I tend to want to get seduced by the arguments for moderation, and I do think avoiding sugar entirely may be a contributing factor to backlash bingeing, but staying away from sugar is the only thing I've found that works to bring sanity back to my eating.  I'm going to keep soldiering on down that path.

Yah, I know what you mean about the "moderation seduction" argument.  Knew I had crossed the line from that and into the "other room" (where madness and mindless eating lives) when I found myself unwrapping and chewing the chocolate up instead of slowly savoring and enjoying the slow melting flavor of it.

I think the hugest joke on all of us who have had WLS is this- (oh, the irony of it all) that it does not protect us from slider-eating; we can eat chips, ice cream, cookies, chocolate, nuts,  etc all the dang day long...   Somehow or another, I thought i had an insurance policy against the ability to eat that stuff.  Not so.  What the sleeve Has given me is the opportunity to grow up and take responsibility for those choices.  Miss 150 is trying to grow up.
