145.2 - bye-bye fluid retention

All of the office admin and support staff work graduation which starts around 2-ish downtown. So this morning I am taking my dog in for thyroid blood tests and then I'm meeting the other folks at the light rail and we'll all head downtown together.

I didn't get to tell my boss yesterday that I am interviewing for the technology job. He was gone all day. It's still looming over me. I may have to tell him tomorrow morning before the interview.

Just working on finding calm thoughts and the bright side of everything that my brain wants to obsess over. This Eeyore thing is not normal for me. I'm a pretty positive person in RL. So, the bright side is, I get to dress up and hand out diplomas (not on stage). I have a great job that is going fulltime in July which means that this new technology position would be a bonus on top of an already good thing. The fluid retention is dropping off. I have 3 weeks and then summer break (office admins have a longer calendar than teachers).

Anyone working on plans for the long weekend?

102 lbs.  Nephew's finally gone but dinner out with friends tonight (well, technically they're my bf's friends, not mine....I just had to make the distinction :-).  At least its Japanese and I can go uber-healthy with sashimi.

Like a lemming, I'm just following my friends around during this long weekend.  I'm vaguely aware of some plans but don't really know what they are (yet).

Good luck with the interview and on the talk with your current boss, slim.  You'll ace both conversations, I know it.

Have a good one, all!

120 yay.   yeah slim good luck with the interview.  you know you can do it.

Lots of weekend plans which is unusual for us.  Saturday the Kinetic Sculpture race starts and its hilarious.  Sunday my friend who is getting sleeved in June is taking us out to dinner.  She wants her last steak dinner.   I am taking her down and seeing her through the surgery.  Monday we go to other friends for a holiday cook out.  I make the Frisco recipe cheese crisps and everybody loves them.     So a few potentially dangerous eating situations but nothing I haven't done in the past.  watch this space Tuesday for whining by me about gaining a couple. The evil dessert queen will be at the party with one of her deadly creations.   diane

113.0. Beautiful day here.

I'm going to visit a friend who has been in hospital here since her VSG surgery in Mx on April 7th.  This has been very hard for me to reconcile since I had my surgery there too.  Different surgeon, and Lord knows the vast majority of us come home  from Mx unscathed, and complications happen to people who have surgery in Canada and US too ... but it's still hard to come to terms with.  Not sure why, but somehow I feel guilty for encouraging her.  Not rational I know, but still floating around in my crazy head.

Yes Donna. She damn near died. I was thinking of you on the way home and wondered if you would encourage her. Thank you!  I'll pm you with her cell so you can introduce yourself by text. She can't access email right now.
