147.2

This is really feeling like fluid retention. Moving, shelving, processing thousands of textbooks - it feels a lot like karate. The puffy feeling anyway. My food isn't fantastic, but I'm staying under 1000 calories, I'm getting in 12-15 glasses of water and my protein is around 70-80 (I need to get this higher to accommodate the manual labor). I'm going to try to raise the protein and keep it over 80 each day. Otherwise, I'm staying on this course until the end of the school year. Then, I will re-evaluate. I've added proteins bars back into my eating plan which isn't the best choice, but they are keeping me away from my MIL's candy booty. So, they stay for awhile.

Today is pedicures with my daughter.

I want a daughter!  Just grown sons, here, and while they're a pack o-fun, they don't play nail polish and make-up games very well- IF AT ALL.  I have a theory, Slim, that this is just all end of the school year shenanigans--mental garbage that throws our bodies out of whack a little.  My super stress week is the week before the last week of school- and I really struggled with creeping scale--4 + #s in 5 days!  End of the week-- I'm (I know- TMI) peeing like a banshee, and today all is good; back to the same weight I was two Sunday's ago.  Hang in there, girl!  Bonnie

I agree. It is such a mental head **** trying to stay in the game when the kids are done. Hell, I'm done, too.

I had a boy that I adore try to steal one of our books (long story on how he tried to pull it off - very involved process for a stupid book). He's a senior and it really pissed me off. Work bestie made it worse by saying that she totally understood and she took the high road and didn't say anything to him and just smiled and let it go. Whatever. She had to look up his picture when I told her what happened. I've tried to do so much for this kid. It really bothered me because I try hard not to get jaded. They are kids and **** I was no angel. I probably burned the wings of an angel or 5 myself. I want them all to succeed. But, I know that they have to find their own paths.

I am also trying to get another position in the school - mostly to get away from my bestie. But, about a bazillion other folks want the job, too. I'm going to try my best and hope that I get the job and I am NOT going to act like I've already lost because that's what I really want to do.

My step mom had surgery on a brain tumor on Friday. No cancer. But, I don't know what they are going to be able to do to reduce the tumor. Also, there are 2 other places in her brain that they are watching. Step mom and Alzheimer's dad go on a two-week trip with us starting in June. No pressure there.

MIL is soaking the bruised ribs from her dumpster diving for all they are worth. She thinks that she might have to go back to the ER because she's almost out of the Vicodin. Really? There's no bruise on the skin. It's been 2+ weeks. She's still laying in bed. Sometimes when she forgets about the ribs, she does something normal like picks up 20 lbs of groceries and carries them into the house. So, yeah, she *might* be exaggerating the pain.

Stressis high - which makes sense that the weight is high, too.

Holy CRAP, woman- I can't hardly wrap my had around  all your stuff ( without some, say vodka in my tomato juice , for example)....For sure, go into survival mode-  let school be out, and sort the rest out.   About the thief-ie-kiddo- Yah, I know-  It's the price you pay for being in the educational field---these kids---if you let them into your heart-- they are bound to hurt =--just like your own.  Let it go in love.  It will break your heart otherwise.  You've no doubt planted a seed- GOD will mature and bring it to fruit.  Hugs your way.  Hang in there!  Bonnie

102.4 lbs.  My boyfriend's 17 y/o nephew is in town.  It's been a pizza/ice cream/candy extravaganza!  And it won't be over till Wednesday when he leaves.  I guess I could be better about it, but for now I don't want to be.

Have a good day all!

121. some sneaky pound slithered in during the night and attached itself to my butt.   or more likely under my chin. oh well. fluctuation is normal.  think i have talked hubby into going to this one beach today with our old dog who doesn't get out much.   this beach is fun because it has zillions of interesting beach pebbles.  might even see a whale.   no swimming - its way too cold.   diane

Remember the old "Twinkie-made-me-do-it" case?  Could the culprit be the nefarious Peanut Butter Cup attacked me in a sleepwalking state of mind.....?  I would love a walk on the beach at this very moment.  Kansas is- shall we say- a bit land locked?  Grew up in Michigan and at least we had the Great Lakes....miss water.

yeah the ocean is great - especially up here where the beach is uncrowded.   still i am a native midwesterner and i sometimes miss the wide open spaces where you can see for miles.  but i don't miss the heat.    no twinkies or peanut butter cups for me today unless zombies force feed me.   diane
