Oh, my gosh! How exciting!!!! The most freeing thing in the world is not having to deal with sweaty, slippery, smudgy glasses on a hot, humid, summer's day. Enjoy!
145.4 finally- a pause- and a drop (and hopefully accompanied by a turnaround) in the up-scale madness this week.

Thanks - back from the procedure already - went very well. Left eye is pretty blurry at the moment - which is normal. I only had the left done so I have close up working in the right, and distance in the left. We'll see how it goes.

Cool! That is how my optometrist worked contacts for me. I wear one for distance and use my natural other eye for close up work..kind of a cosmic bifocal! Works, too. Your brain really does figure it all out--Only thing with me is, if I'm really tired, sometimes my brain wants to use both eyes at the same time and I get this "3-D in 3D" effect--half of the text- every other line- will come forward off the paper at me. Only lasts a moment at a time. Kind of a hoot.

Hope all goes well, Tom. Hope all goes well with all of us chickens today, for that matter. :)

Another better day yesterday, more in control and more conscious about keeping it that way. Had to rearrange my day when grandson's mother asked me to pick him up at daycare after her own mother fell ill, but in spite of that I made sure I got my bike ride done first. Then I believe I expended even more calories while following grandson around and around and around our kitchen/dining room/living room/foyer circuit as he pushed the toy dump truck. For some reason he insisted that MomMom had to follow him around and around and around, but MomMom wasn't complaining.

Evening carb eating got the best of me.
I'm off to move thousands of textbooks into storage rooms. I'm saying **** it to wearing nice clothes today. I'm tired of trashing my work clothes while I'm in the book storage dungeons. My bestie doesn't move books, so I'm on my own.
Seeing the chiropractor today. He's going to yell at me for being mean to my body. Then he'll fix me. He's easy on the eyes, so he can yell at me all he wants.
Thanks - Seems like I'm one of the last to get on this bandwagon... my wife had it 15 years ago - needs readers now but still 20/15 for distance....

121 for me. where did that f'n pound come from? it was hot here yesterday and i woke up at 3 am and couldn't sleep and drank lots of water. (no way it could be the red wine we had at our gallery board meeting which always turns into a wine tasting.).
wish i had done lasix. now i am getting cateracts and look forward to getting them repaired some day because they can put those corrective lenses in and ditch the glasses. congrats tom.
was watching the eagle cam this morning. two plump little eaglets getting stuffed with raw fish and some kind of dead bird. makes protein drinks seem like a good deal. diane
