Daily Maintenance Weigh-In Wednesday, May 14,2014

Day 6 of the scale creep-up  147.2  Have been upping my water intake the last few days...Protein seems to be good...let's see what happens if I dial back a little on HOW I prepare that protein. (could this have something to do with a dib -o-that-sauce or that drizzle of hot bacon dressing on an otherwise very healthy spinach salad I had last night?  My food is homecooked, but maybe not as plain and clean as it needs to be.  I love the accountability found on this forum.  The one thing I know I am doing right is being fearless about getting on the scale and being truthful enough with myself to post it here.  

  goal!!! August 20, 2013   age: 59  High weight: 345 (June, 2011)  Consult weight: 293 (June, 2012)  Pre-Op: 253 (Nov., 2012) Surgery weight: 235 (Dec. 12, 2012) Current weight: 145

 TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal!  BMI from 55.6  supermorbidly obese to 23.6  normal!!!!

No candy yesterday, woot! Added in protein bars during this crazy time. I will have to banish them in a couple of weeks, but right now they are helping me stay away from the other crap.

I've used protein bars for the same reason in the past too.  It does help me with the sugar withdrawal but eventually that day comes where I have to put the "pseudo candy bars" away too :-)   You got this, Slim!

Thanks, Tracy. I hate it that the protein bars are back in my life, but it's what I have to do to get through the next couple of weeks.

120 and lots to do.  would rather sit here drinking coffee in pajamas and perusing  OH.  Another hot day on the north coast.  this might be the year my tomato plant makes a few tomatoes.  

Slim, congrats on a candy free day.  before wls, peanut butter cups were my killer.    I think if I ate even one it would turn into a lost weekend scene.  diane
