Hoping for a similar experience as yours today (sigh- not to be)  crazy, puffy, creeping up- day 5--But not calling it a trend, YET!  146.8

  goal!!! August 20, 2013   age: 59  High weight: 345 (June, 2011)  Consult weight: 293 (June, 2012)  Pre-Op: 253 (Nov., 2012) Surgery weight: 235 (Dec. 12, 2012) Current weight: 145

 TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal!  BMI from 55.6  supermorbidly obese to 23.6  normal!!!!

102.6 lbs.  I guess that's what happens when I only eat store bought/restaurant food all day long...

Back to basics today.

Can you guys believe my muscles are still hurting from my motorcycle lessons over the weekend?  I guess that was more strenuous than I thought it would be!

Fiona, I think part of your soreness may be related to the way you carried your tension.  At least for me, I lean on the handlebars when I'm tense.  Also, the clutches on training bikes tend to be very stiff, so you might not struggle as much with your own bike.  My hands are small and I have poor finger strength but I can pull the clutch all day on my own bike/s.

I'm not sure if I was leaning, but I was definitely death gripping the handlebars, particularly on the hill starts.   And I was totally tense through all eight hours of class.  Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.  Thanks much!
