179.8...
Rode about 190 miles Saturday and Sunday, so I was hoping for a little less on the scale this morning, but I'm sore, and that means I'm probably retaining fluids for muscle repair. No biggie - burned about 6500 calories and kept my consumption below that, so it's all good!
We were supposed to ride in the big season opener hear in the Twin Cities, the Minnesota Ironman, but the weather on Sunday was predicted to be hellish, so about 10 of us elected to ride the exact route, but on Saturday instead. Thus we had 105 miles of 35-45 degrees, 10-15mph wind. But no rain. On Sunday I rode again with my coach, but indoors for another 90 miles. Outside it was 40, pouring rain (off-and-on) and 25mph winds. Just about the worst case scenario. i have a tendency to get sick with those conditions and since losing weight I find that I get REALLy cold... so no thanks.
Here's the hardy four of us that rode the entire 100+ miles on Saturday... (I'm in blue jacket).

BWTG, Tom. You had what we call 'round here a Noreaster.
166.8 Woke up in the reality that I need to crack the whip and cut the crap. UPS is delivering my Unjury protein drink order this morning, not a moment too soon.
Really, really trying not to eat over my stress from very estranged, very nasty/disturbed eldest 28yo son trying to storm back into our lives on Saturday. Someone called our house phone over and over w/o leaving a message, which I know to be son's pattern when he wants something. Finally my husband answered the phone after he got home, and sure enough it was son. Apparently former wife/current live-in (the two of them are our grandson-now-son's natural parents) finally kicked him out, and he said he had nowhere to live, no food, whatever. He is a liar above all else, so it's difficult to know exactly what his situation is. Anyway, my husband refused to help him, WISELY, finally learning after the $$$$$-last-ditch-son-reset of two years ago that it does nothing but help son to be the destructive ****head that he chooses to be. So son has apparently moved on to shake other people's trees for money, but if that fails he'll be back. The worst part of it was that apparently he was sitting in his car for hours on Saturday in the warehouse lot next door, watching our house, without our having a clue. Thankful I didn't let the kids out to play that day, especially since we were babysitting estranged son's youngest known child during that time. Estranged son has emotional/mental issues which went out of our control the day he turned 18yo, engendered during his time as an abused and neglected child before he became a ward of the state child protective agency from which we adopted him. He thinks he's just fine and therefore has had no help since.
Thanks for listening. I was already dealing with some stressors before the incessant phone calls began on Saturday, so this has only made things worse. I know people around here get the concept of trying not to eat one's way out from under.
Wow. That has to be incredibly stressful. Vent away - it can be amazing how much stress can be released just by writing down what's stressing you. My theory is that it re-enters you brain through another channel (vision) after writing it down and you process it differently somehow. Hope it helped you.
