Friday Fun Day!

143.6 - crap food, but catching up with my MIL's siblings, so it's all good.

My MIL is being the ********he refused to come out of her room last night when 3 of her siblings came over because she had "bubbles" in her head. She wouldn't even say hello to her brothers.

I hope I grow old with dignity.

On the positive side, my hubby will be working 2 fulltime jobs as he transitions over to the new business group. More money. More visibility. He's a geeky rockstar. I have the best and smartest husband in the world.

148.1# I'm under the weather...first time really since surgery.  I'm still puny but fever broke so I will be getting my hair done today! My person has been on maternity leave and my hair is in dire need of her services:).  I have no time to be sick...I'm doing a 5K on Sunday.  My first one!  There are 20 of us from my school that are either running or walking.  Should be fun!

Hang in there, Slim!

114.2 today.  That feels a lot more comfortable to me. I'll be ramping up my running distances now for the upcoming half marathon.  My knees have been troublesome on the last couple of runs, even though they were short runs.  Will be trying some new shoes to see if that helps.

Liquid Water Discovered on Surface of Minnesota

Posted on March 26, 2014

FORT LAUDERDALE—In a press conference held Tuesday morning, NASA officials have announced the discovery of liquid water on the surface of the region commonly referred to as Minnesota. The discovery has come as a surprise to the space exploration organization, which has listed the state of Minnesota as “unsuitable for any and all biotic life” since mid-November. Temperature trends extrapolated from four months of hard data had extensively confirmed the scientific community’s well-formed hypothesis that Minnesota temperatures were unlikely to shift above “subarctic status.”

“As we continue to develop our understanding of the incredible conditions in which life can develop, the discovery of liquid water in Minnesota is a indeed a watershed moment,” commented Major General Charles F. Bolden Jr., NASA’s chief administrator. “This planetary region has had all of its aquatic reserves trapped in large ice-masses due to extreme cold for an interminable length of time,” continued Bolden. “The discovery of unfrozen water visible from our high-powered satellites has inspired NASA to redouble our efforts to exhaustively decide if at any point this region could be home to an extremophile-type life form.”

NASA’s announcement has lent a new aura of credibility to the writings of many theorists who insist the Minnesota region plays home to a humanoid race of highly-robust organisms living on a diet consisting of nutrient-dense hot dishes, and whose culture revolves primarily around ****ty football teams and complaining about their climate.  These posits, best exemplified in the popular Coen Brothers film, Fargo, are still largely dismissed by the scientific community. Maj. Gen. Bolden addressed these unlikely propositions, asking viewers to reflect on “the inconsistencies between ‘intelligent’ Minnesotan life and our current Theory of Evolution. While popular culture may elevate the idea of a large tribe of suspiciously friendly bipods who stoically endure perennial beatings by the Green Bay Packers, this theory has no place in the rational realm of scientific thought.”

Slim, your mil needs a 55 gallon drum of Preparation H to submerge in.  Hope her siblings are at least pleasant. There is an older person in our family who is slightly off her rocker and yells at me for mailing a letter wrong or putting a fork in the wrong side of the sink and gives me guided tours of everything in the cupboards and refrigerator.  Indeed lets all hope we don't get like that since with our weight loss we will live long lives. Maybe they will make special nursing homes for old people who had barriatric surgery and can only eat protein pudding and miralax. If I live to be 85 I will just say hell with it and move near an m and m factory.

I lead a dull like compared to the rest of you.  Got the fancy new electronic bed delivered yesterday and hubby put up a new big tv in bedroom. so i guess we will just lay in ed and watch tv all the time.  the bed is a split king with dual remotes to control each side separately but somehow mine got programed to control both sides but his only does his side.  Women rule of course.

120 today. Still doing physical therapy on the hand but its slowly improving.   diane

You made me crack up. Thank you for that.

OMG - the visual on the Preparation H barrel - Awesome!

So, if your husband ****** you off, you can mess with his side of the bed. That's ******g genius right there.

Slim, you've been in my thoughts a lot today.  Sounds like your husband got home just fine -- yay!

Stupid, needlessly stressful day, but things have calmed down, dare I say it.
