142.6 - creeping down.
Today is the Make a Wish Cake Walk thingy at school today. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to it. It feels very disorganized, but I had no part in the prep, so I shall keep my trap shut and go with the flow. I've got my 11 (I gave one to my daughter) individually wrapped cupcakes and my dozen individually wrapped cookies.
It's Disney Day today. The school has "adopted" a little boy who's Wish is to go to Disneyland. I've got my Agent P T-shirt on and I'm ready to roll.

I'm back- (or mostly back...or...well, these meds are a trip...feels sometimes like I'm back at university in '74 on a Saturday night- well, let's not go there....) Had my first post op follow up yesterday- all ok- so far, so good. Haven't seen the scars yet- Dr. stripped me out of the binder, (first time out since surgery), snipped some stitches on the right arm, slathered some whoknowswhat on, retaped everything, and I go back in a week. I'm good for showers if I avoid the tape--will be in the binder for several weeks- tha's ok, cause it's my new frienemy and binky. I get a kick out of this surgeon- he looks at me like I'm his latest work of art. Who'd'athunk "little" would ever have been an adjective used to describe me? Kurt and I stopped at the mall on the way home- For the past year I have been doing my shopping at St. Vincent's-totally guess and buy- no changing rooms..sometimes I hit- sometimes I miss, and I wanted to check my sizing--Structured and tailored clothing- size 8...pants- size 6-8...tops and unstructured- size small. Whoop-whoop. On the scale front- got on this morning at 148.4- still up 4#s or so from before surgery- but not sweating the small stuff. Nothing to do today but play. Kurt got my paints and brushes out for me yesterday, but to tell the truth--feels like a crayon moment.....Big smiles to all 'ya'll friends of mine. Cyber-hugs! Bonnie

TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
Bonnie! I was wondering how you were doing. Very cool about the healing and also about the size confirmations -- woohoo! Yes, don't sweat the scale. Hang in there!

153.9, not a great eating day yesterday. Work days vs weekend / vacation days are so much harder, fighting the urge to snack or chew gum. How's that for a pretty huge flashing neon sign that I'm a stress eater?

Slim, you're my hero. I don't think I'd cope particularly well spending a big chunk of my day face to face with cakes and cookies, especially if there's stress on top of it, and I HATE to be involved with a disorganized event. Avoidance is my strategy.
