181 - bounce up from the big loss the day before - expected... i didn't get half my water in yesterday and I don't think I peed all day... food intake was unremarkable otherwise...

Last two weeks have been tough... I feel like I'm playing "whack a mole" at the office with people making stupid mistakes that **** off our customers OR weird personnel issues that are coming out of nowhere... just a run of crappy problems that makes me want to hide in a hole... But at least the sun came out yesterday!  I got my car washed for the first time in months... of course it was filthy by the time I got home (I've long figured out why silver cars are so popular up here... black cars like mine show the salt stains within 8 minutes of a car wash...)

Have a good thursday!

Tom!  (Being the visual - picture- person that I am, and in need of vision....)  Yes- that is me, I'm the mole in "whack a mole", making stupid food (can't call them mistakes) choices that ******* my sleeve and reflect all too accurately on the scales.  I can just see myself, poking my furry head up out of the hole- eyeballing that piece of Christmasmarshmallow  thingy that's been on the table since, well Christmas, and snarggling it up.  How many times will I do this, expecting someone else to take responsibility for me, whack me upside the head, and maybe I will come to my sences?  Nope- no one playing this game here except me.  Guess if there is going to be some whacking to do- I will just have to put the food down and commence with the whacking.  Head hunger returned- emotional eating going on...yeh, guess those creeps have returned to my doorstep--and, crap, I've maybe let them back in.  Whoo-hoo maintenance--what a ride.  148.0

Hang in there, people.  I like Tom's quote about fighting the gorilla.  Yup.

"Hungry" a lot lately.  That really means that I want the taste of food in my mouth a lot.  Deep breaths, distractions, and just generally trying to keep busy are my means of holding off that gorilla at present.  Not always successfully, but when I really keep the problem and its repercussions right there in front of my thinking I do better with it.  I could waste some mental energy figuring out the "why" of this, but really I think I already do know (stress, being so far out postop, winter et al), and the necessary action steps are the same regardless of the "why."

100 lbs today.  That's on the low end of my spectrum, but still within acceptable parameters....

Have a good one, all.

156.7.  Aiming for more Wabi Sabi about the scale numbers, which are frustrating me.  All I can do is just keep on keepin' on, and work on my patience skills.

120.5. works for me. survived a root canal yesterday so I didn't eat much but had more than one glass of wine.  my dentist is such a hoot - very good but he is an old hippie and wears hawiian shirts and sandals with socks. grey haired pony tail.  and his assistant makes fun of him throughout the procedure. i do love this bohemian part of the planet.

Tom it seems like people being weird at work is a contageon.  Once one does it, they all start it. My "office " is an art studio with 40 plus artists. a few months ago these anonymous crabby letters started showing up and threw everything into a tizzy.  it really escalated. we had to do all this stuff to get everybody to hold hands and sing Coom By Ya.   Probably they all have cabin fever.  my sympathies.

112.8. This is a new low but not entirely unexpected. Haven't been feeling my best for a few days and not eating my full allotment of calories, but still within weight range.

142.4  Trying to get back down to 140/141.Sabotaged myself by eating a piece of angel food cake at the Ash Wednesday fish dinner last evening  After that didn't stop eating. You would think I would know better. I looked at the dessert table and the angel food cake looked "healthiest"  haha.
