187
ugh. Not a good number after a week away.
Back from a week in London, sans scale. It seems like I'm in a cycle where I work hard, get back to the top of my maintenance window, then do an international trip and wham, back to 5-7 lbs over the top again. Frustrating.
I know it's mainly water from a couple of factors...
- not drinking enough. Just not as easy when you're at a client site...
- flights - seem to cause me to retain water, and I fly coach so I don't have quite the service level to get quarts of water every hour :)
- hard workouts - I had a good gym and I was pounding the workouts - both cycling and resistance, and my legs are sore... usually another water retention reason
- carbs - traveling is tough on carbs... for me anyway. I just can't control them as easily when I'm eating out 100% of the time. Hate to make excuses, but that's the reality.
- No scale. Pants fit, shirts fit, so I wasn't worried. Need to carry the scale - I need that feedback.
So hopefully, I will have a month or so without another trip and I'll do it all again :)

I'm down 141.3 since my highest weight 14 months ago. I need to tell you that losing the pounds is still beyond thrilling for me! VSG ROCKS!!!This is by far the best decision I ever made in my life!
I know without surgery, I would have not been able to achieve this.
Thanks for the amazing support!

Boy, I totally agree with the water/hydration thing- seems like it's the oil that keeps the process chugging along the way it's supposed to. Unlike your work challenge with the H2O- the structure of my work helps, and it's on the weekends I slack off or get behind with the fluids. 144.6 The 142 reading stuck around all of 2 days--who knew pie making aerobics for weight loss is transitory? Maybe I should make another batch!
