146.6 - that right there is gas station food orgies. The fat girl in my head wants to thank Flying J truck stop - you rock like the 80's.
I haven't been inside a gas station in a long time. Wow. They have come out with some of the BEST new foods and I took it upon myself to sample - heavily. There is this new snack in a bag that is a party mix of peanut M&M's, mini sugar cookies, pretzels and almonds. It also seems that Wyoming has finally made into the 2000's - I actually found a 5bucks. Was awesome.
Anyway, I'm back from a quick trip to a funeral for my Aunt and to see my dad. Mostly I went so that I wouldn't murder my MIL who somehow turned my aunt's death into being ALL about her. I really can't put into words (well I can, but it wouldn't be pretty) how pissed I am about what she did. So, I got up at 5 am on Saturday put on my gorgeous dress, packed a bag and headed for the hills. Literally. I braved a Wyoming snow storm (if you've ever experienced one, this should make you shudder) and lived to tell about it.
You all need to know something. If you need a nice positive hit to your self-esteem - go to a truck stop in a nice dress and heels. Seriously, I didn't touch a door. One old man walked by me while I was fondling treats in the candy aisle and he said, "Wow! I think I just had a heart attack." I look around and he's staring at me. Sweet, sweet man.
I'm back and decarbing in a grand way for the next couple of days. My MIL is still alive. My hubby wants me to not saying anything THIS time (I know, edelu. I know.) So, I shall smile and play nice until she ******g hangs up on one of family members again or does some other rude thing to one of them. Also, she will be getting her own phone line.
Don't know quite what to say, Slim. I'm so sorry. You renewed your hero license with me again by braving that storm and getting to your family AND for not murdering your MIL.
We have a Flying J not far away, and husband and I stopped there last weekend to gas up the van on the way back from another interminable trip of reclaiming our wrecked house. I had to wait in line to pay for the cheapo DVD I found for the kids which my little boy had seen there on a previous fueling stop with husband. The pizza warmer is right next to the register. 'Twas torture waiting for all those truckers to pay for their fuel and sandwiches and, yes, pizza. I kept staring at it.
I imagine you get that good feedback even when you aren't at a truck stop in the wooly wild wearing a dress and heels. :)
165.0 Given that I hauled heavy, filthy abandoned tenant **** across my yard to the dumpster a zillion times yesterday, I was hoping for better.
Not sure if they had this at the Flying J you went to, but the one over in Lodi has friggin' home made tamales sitting in the warmer - chicken, carnitas and carne asade friggin tamales! Thank God I only pass that place twice per year. I made Ron buy one of those tamales last year, just so I could taste it. Was every bit as good as it smelled. I remember I looked at Ron and said after my bite, "Fini**** fast!" LOL!!!!!
So sorry about your trials. Family **** is never easy! Do something deliciously evil to your MIL that will give you pleasure, but she'll never know about, but would come unglued over, if she did. I'm thinking.... boiling dog water (toile****er works, too) and making her tea, or putting a little Miralax in her morning coffee. Nothing too evil, but.... might give you the satisfaction.... Yeah, I can be an evil **** when I want to be......

My condolences, Slim.
102.8 lbs today. That's pretty high. It'll be interesting to see what happens this week because I'm going to be doing a lot of unavoidable work related eating.
Have a good one, all!
