Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Friday, February 21, 2014
Hi from London...
No weight today. I forgot my traveling scale. I'm sure I'm up after the 9 hour flight... I skipped all the airline meals and just had 2 quest bars, I was hoping that would help...
Went out for dinner last night with my clients to a really cool place here - 10 Cases. They are a wine bar/restaurant and always have 10 cases of white and 10 cases of red wine, hand selected to go with their food. The wine was great, and they have a very limited menu (like 4 appetizers and 4 main courses) but fantastic. I had pork tenderloin with savoy cabbage - perfect for low carbing, and instead of dessert we ordered a cheese sampler. It was very nice and totally compatible (both contents and portion sizes) with my diet.
Turns out that the guy I'm working with over here lost about 80 pounds a few years ago and has maintained it through keeping a similar lowish-carb diet. We had fun talking about diet stuff...
And the wine was excellent.
Have a great Friday everyone!

Hi from Jersey. :) Glad you made it safely there, Tom, and had that wonderful experience.

Over and out until after co-op. Since I don't eat meat on Fridays, I'm a happy girl now that I know that Unjury Chicken Soup protein doesn't actually include chicken. Given that I will have to chug meal 2 during the five minutes between classes, warm protein goes down much more easily than cold protein, so UCS it is.
Y'all have a good one.
"Hurt so good
Come on baby, make it hurt so good
Sometimes love don't feel like it should
You make it hurt so good"
can't get that out of my mind now...
Just finished a double work out of my own. Small but "well-appointed" gym here in the hotel, and I missed a workout yesterday so did a double... cycling + weights... mmmm will hurt SO good tomorrow!

Isn't it weird how we imagine the pain as being 'not so bad' after it's all over? I think that's how we manage to have extra children.

The biggest thing I've noticed about hitting my 50s was that stuff hurts a lot sooner than it did when I was in my 30s or even in my 40s.
I get that you want to try another class. I really do. Same reason you're whippin' butt on the racquetball court ... because you CAN.
