Bit of a bounce up from the Sunday's low, but still feeling good about the general trend... The trend is my friend...
Happy Monday - snowing pretty hard here right now, but looks to warm up into the 30s this week...

Thanks for the reminder about the trend. So newly into maintenance I am still a bit hyperfocused on the minutiae.
One example of that is my thinking lately (probably over-thinking) about enjoying food versus fueling. In these days where I do enjoy eating again versus the first postop year where I didn't care if I ate or not, it's tricky and kind of scary.
I was thinking about this over the weekend. I feel like I've turned a bit of a corner in the other direction... of NOT really looking forward to food in the same way as I used to.
My thought was triggered by the fact that I haven't really craved pizza in a long time - Now I'm someone who built his own brick oven on the patio so I could make authentic Neapolitan pizza with hand made crust, etc... so this is kind of a big deal.
I think it's because I keep my menu kind of boring and I'm in a good rhythm of not having too much variety - i just consume a pretty simple diet, and it works, and I'm obsessive, so I want to stay with what works, and once I get in such a pattern I don't want to deviate... I have read research that says that a lot of variety causes one to overeat, while monotony is actually good for keeping calories more under control... I haven't consciously done that - but when I do keep things simple and the same week to week, I feel more in control and able to experiment a little around the edges without worrying about going crazy... when I have trouble is when I'm thrown off my routine with a lot of travel, or social obligations.

Hopefully that weather is on it's way here... got about 4 inches on the ground and still snowing hard. Luckily it's president's day so the traffic was light.

143.8# I'm off today. I've been to the dentist already. I'm working out with my personal trainer and getting on the elliptical. I rode my bike yesterday for the first time this year and it was glorious!!!! Too windy this morning! Hand bell rehearsal this evening...that sums up my day!
Happy Monday!
Edit-My personal trainer was sick today. I waited until the wind died down and went on a 45 minute bike ride. Nice!!
