happy to feel crappy
A couple days ago I ate a piece of string cheese rather rapidly and then started drinking a glass of wine. I got that "I am stuffed and I overdid it" feeling immediately - the bubbling discomfort bordering on the slimies. Hadn't had this for awhile and while it was uncomfortable, I was so pleased that my trusty sleeve is still on patrol, ever faithful. My sleeve is still my buddy. diane
Yup, it's definitely a good thing that our sleeves remind us who's boss every now and then! I had a similar incident last week when I ate some meat with canned tomatoes and that sent me over the edge.

Totally agree, Diane. As much of a pain as that is sometimes, it's still a blessing.
Today I go the hiccups at lunch!

This happens to me so rarely but when it does, it is usually in a social setting. So obviously I eat and drink in an unfavorable way when in a social setting. Why do I do this? I am an introvert, so I am sure it's nerves. It happend to me at a Christmas party in someones home. I got dizzy and nauseaus and luckily made it to the bathroom where I just sat in private for a couple of minutes. No one noticed. I took a minute to pull my thoughts together. Live and learn.

interesting what triggers this stuff. in my case its usually carelessness. but i had the experience you described at a restaurant and had to go hang around in the ladies room for a bit. i am over 4 years out from surgery so it was a surprise this happened. it was more common in the first couple of years. just glad it can still happen.
its good you have identified the trigger situations and can be careful. diane
