Morning, all.
166.0
I find I am nostalgic for those glorious days when I didn't care if I ate anything or not. Today's self-assignment is to work on getting some of that back in an in-my-face way and really putting food back into its proper place.

No spell check on this forum, so my posts are going to be more illiterate than normal. I don't have time for this **** OH. Now I have to self-edit AND spell check. That's what editors are for, damnit!
Yes, I'm pissy. Hubby is gone, so I am without my Tonto (not Tanto - thanks to edelu I can at least spell that correctly) which makes me a crabby ***** without even a white horse to ride (upon reading this again because I have to SPELL CHECK myself - this sounds a little sexual. But, it make me smile, so I'm leaving it in). I have to deal with all of the crazy **** alone. I'm whiny, too. My MIL spends hours watching crime scene investigation stories and then she can't figure out why she's so paranoid about one of us getting hurt. duuHHHhhh...
I have a really crappy internal filter, as most of you know, and right now it's ******g broken.
I'm cold Damnit! I hate the outfit I'm wearing. But **** if I'm going to take any clothing off to change because it's ******g cold damnit!
I'm a grumpy butt.
Okay, I'm just gonna shore up my complaining now and get it all back in my brain so no one else can hear it.
Oh, Slim, I love you so! I get on this thred on the hopes you have posted and put a smile on my face for a moment. Let's get together and have an affair soon! (Oh, **** just remembered I'm happily married and hetro-sexual)---I take that back and re-dial---Home---Snow day in Kansas with NO SNOW ON THE GROUND!!!- just the anticipation of it rolling in during the day---Go figure, but I'll take it.

Slim, you have every reason to be crabby. Sound off whenever you so desire.
Re MIL, yup. That takes me back to the last nine months of my FIL's life, during which time he lived with us. He was a WWII vet, the son of immigrants, and he worked for Boeing for most of his adult life. That made him very interested in watching The Military Channel A LOT. I soon sardonically referred to it as The Death Channel. It did nothing to improve his moods (or mine, let me tell ya), but his son/my husband said just to let him be. It was worse when my husband was on travel and I had the kids and me and the FIL to deal with on little to no sleep. So, a long way of saying I feel ya.
I like very much the suggestion you received to block the crime scene shows if at all possible. Don't know if you have to go channel-by-channel or can block per genre, but it's definitely worth researching.
Hang in there. Wikipedia has me all confused about Tanto, but that's fine as long as YOU aren't confused. :)
Nancy- your post makes me think about that place in the Bible that says something to the effect of- we will be free to one thing or another which makes us slaves to that one thing. That is to say, in our case, if we want to be "free to eat", then we are slaves to the thought and captive to the behaviour. I spent over 48 years free to eat, but a slave to the behaviour-- and the horrible consequences. IF I'm to be a subject to something, let it be to health and thoughtful eating; at least the outcome of that dosen't take me to the former hell I've just recently crawled out of... love ya' friend--the mind thing- the soul thing- that's the hard part. May enlightenment shine upon us all! Bonnie

OH< MY GOSH- Is this what a snow-day does? Lots of time at home and rambling thoughts- or maybe it's the copious amounts of coffee i'm consuming---146.4 ..good deal. Waiting for the snow to begin to fall (and I hope it does--would hate to embarrass our superintendant who called off school on a prediction) 10:00 and nothing to speak of on the ground yet- How to spend the free day....movies on TCM...Quilting...make a lovely dinner for the hubby this evening... Stay OUT of the leftover Super Bowl shennanigans...Hope what snow does come blows over the country roads this pm and cancels school again tomorrow (am I a selfish @#$$%, or what!?) Smiles your way- Bonnie

Well, I like the way you ramble if that's rambling. :) Good stuff.
My little son's school was closed yet again yesterday. Got the call at precisely 5:00am. Resisted the temptation to murder someone. We got maybe 2.5 inches of snow after some rain. I think they could have done school after all, but I'm not a highly educated school administration employee, so I know nothing. Back in the day it took several inches ON THE GROUND to cancel my school day. I still remember being in the school bus one day when it slid backwards down a hill due to having no traction. ====:-o
