Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday, January 27, 2013
Wow, Slim, you went blonde! Cool. Still ROTFL at the conversation.
166.2 Still feeling crappyish, even though the experimental meal is officially outta here now. (Don't think about that too much, readers.) The good news is I don't feel like eating much of anything, but curiously last night I had a strong temptation to eat a breakfast item I had bought for the kids. My head hunger was trying to tell me that it would sit juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine even though nothing else felt like it would. Didn't go there and took that as my cue to go up to bed and put a lot of space between me and it. Not even remotely tempted to go there today.
Next two meals will be Unjury Chicken Soup, and then I'll play meal #4 by ear.
More snow tonight.
Husband and I are officially jumping into the 21st century when our smartphones arrive, mine today and his tomorrow.
SMART PHONE- cool (but what is that?- something like a cell phone- which I don't own one of, either). Shoot, half the phones in my home are ROTARY DIAL! No worries- one of these days I'll pay a visit to the presentday century. Have fun with your new toys! Glad you're feeling a bit better-tummywise.

TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!
I didn't get a cell phone until I was pregnant with my one natural-birth child, which was 15 years ago, but I still felt way behind the times.
In the context of being a pretty low-tech person whose 14yo daughter knows way more about computers and such than I will ever know, I would describe a smartphone as being closer to a little portable computer than to a little portable touchtone phone. My previous phone was a basic phone which allowed me to get on the Internet in a limited fashion. This new phone practically beats me over the head to be on the Internet. :) That can be helpful when out and about.
There-There (said gently and with compassion). Your post reminds me of the little Dalmatian pup in the movie, 101 Dalmatians, when they were out on the ice, trying to get back home..."my nose is cold, and my tail is cold, ..and my ears are cold.., and my paws are cold....". Treat yourself especially kindly today. Things will get better, puppy-dog!

102 lbs today. I had a perfect storm yesterday, and its elements were GERD, an incident at work that caused EMOTIONAL EATING, and my usual Monday afternoon trip to the GROCERY. All three at once and I was off the rails for a little while there.
My stats were 1325 cals, 90 carbs, 70 fat, 90 protein. Oh, and lots of SALT.
The good news is (1) my incidents of emotional eating are happening farther and farther apart and (2) this isn't real weight gain, just bloat (thank you Linda :-). The not-so-good news is that more salt is on the plan for this week. It'll be interesting to see how that works out. If it doesn't, I'll adjust.
Have a good one, all!

116.6 today. I'm good with that. Although my head hunger is 80% better, I'm still surprised that it hasn't completely resolved. The prolonged intake of excess carbs definitely pulled some sort of switch within me so still trying to keep carbs well under 80 grams daily. The good news is that I understand what is happening to me, which gives me a better sense of control.

122 today and i like that.
hey slim, its good to go blond. your bestie is just jealous. I do my hair blonder by painting over the grey streaks. when its all grey i am going platinum. or maybe purple.
Hubby and i are on a mission to buy a new bed. gonna get one of those adjustable kind. his side of our current bed is a ditch because he used to weigh 380 lbs. now he dissappears into this trench when he sleeps. so we really need a new one, wonder how our dogs will like the motorized bed. i think we should take the dogs to the bed store and let them try out the beds because its their bed too.
I feel for all of you living in the deep freeze. I used to live in midwest and last time I traveled back there I got stuck in denver for 2 days.
