Daily Maintenance Weigh In, Saturday, January 25, 2014
on 1/24/14 11:54 pm - CA
It's almost the end of January, folks! How'd that happen?
101 lbs for me today, so that's a little bit down from yesterday. I didn't manage to complete my 1300/75 goal yesterday - too many meetings and very little time to eat. My stats weren't that far off though: 1127 cals, 70 carbs, 55 fat, 89 protein. Although I wanted to be as consistent as possible, I knew there would be days when that just couldn't be done. Today is a party day so my stats will be off again. Since I'll be eating more today, it'll be interesting to see what it's going to take to recover weight-wise.
Despite my increase in carbs, I'm experiencing no unreasonable cravings for sweets. Yey!
Have a good one all,
Fiona

138 this morning. This is a high for me and above my range of 134-137. This is the first time this has happened since I started maintenance in Sept. I have tried to eat less at meals and add more snacks in an effort to keep the best restriction. I have many limitations with certain foods due to another medical condition and therefore cannot eat something like a cheese stick or jerky for a snack. I added some almond butter with no sugar and flax snack from raw food. They have 3 net carbs for 22 pieces and I eat maybe 10. I eat raw veggies at work in the afternoon. I guess today I will cut back on snacks reduce calories and get back to 135 where I feel most comfortable. Still trying to figure out maintenance. Any suggestions would be welcome.

It's snowing again. Really winter-weary here in Jersey.
Really conflicted about whether to try to kick myself into serious WL mode again or just let it sit. I have 170 in my mind as my absolute ceiling where I have no choice but to do that. I don't think that realistically I'm going to stay at my goal weight of 164 all the time, but as I'm still fishing around for my maintenance calories/carbs/fat balance points. Carbs are back in the realm of healthy and acceptable -- at least for now -- but I'm still forcing myself to add them as they were the absolute enemy during WL mode.
Grateful for so many here on OH, and especially in this thread, *****mind me that maintenance is a journey just as much as WL phase was.
Now off to change a very ripe diaper.
Late in the day, but got home yesterday and it's been a whirlwind of packing for Vegas and Palm Springs (2 weeks) - leaving Sunday AM...
183.0 today... not bad for getting home from a long international flight - pounded the fluids and did a work out and that seemed to flush the system pretty well.
Hope to be weighing in and working out each am in Vegas next week, then off to Palm Springs for 8 days of cycling... Feb 8 is the Tour de Palm Springs where I hope I'm ready to squeak out 100 miles.
It's early in the year, but supposedly it's a pretty easy course.
