Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Thursday, January 23, 2014
183... ugh, well some days are just like that - I've been doing almost exactly the same thing every day, today I'm up 1.6 lbs for no good reason... probably didn't get enough fluids yesterday to flush the system. Had a good strength workout, which can also cause some retention.
I'm doing all the right things so I'm not worried.
Last day in India, off to the airport tonight - I have a dinner with an employee, then go to the airport to sit around for a few hours for a 2am flight on Friday AM, but I'll be in Paris for breakfast and home by lunch-time... taking advantage of traveling west with the time zones...
I have a few episodes of my 600-Lb life to watch on the plane.
Sometimes I can see my own (less extreme) behavior in others, so it's helpful.

Having seen that Penny episode of 600-lb Life definitely helped me keep my head in the game yesterday.

Today is day #3 of my "1300 cals/75 carbs maintenance eating plan." I'm at 100.8 lbs today. The weight loss is entirely unexpected as I'm eating more carbs than I normally would (I'm having brown rice with lunch and dinner, for chrissakes!). I'm still within my happy weight range so all is good.
Thanks for the shout-out yesterday Slim. In fact, thanks to all of you for listening to me work through this in such a public way. Posting about how it's going really seems to help me commit to the process. It's ambitious, but I'd like to stick to this calorie/carb level for a month and see what happens. That will include social occasions on weekends where food will be involved and I'll likely be off plan (aka real life). It'll be interesting to see if any weekend gains disappear when I go back to 1300/75 or if I'd have to eat less.
In case inquiring minds would like to know, here's the nutrient ratio I've been working with (these numbers are from yesterday): Carbs 79 (25%), Fat 61 (43%), Protein 103 (32%) = 1277 cals (100%)
Oh, and I hardly watch tv so we stopped getting cable long ago, so now I don't get TLC and can'****ch My 600 Pound Life!!! I guess I'll have to pony up the $3/per episode on iTunes :-(
Have a good one, all!

Got called to pick up my feverish 2yo grandson from day care, so my exercise for the day will be running around after him. He's one of those kids who is a dynamo even when he's sick. :)
122.5. guess thats the new normal. have to attend a board (bored) meeting today that will go on and on over nothing. i hope we don't have much new business. and its always a luncheon which is salad and bread so zilch protein. i am bringing cheese so at least there is something. jeez what a whiner I am. so glad i don't weight 600 lbs. can't imagine weighing 5 x what i weigh now. diane
116.2 today so all is well there. Sat around feeling 'hungry' for hours last night - that's the price I'm paying for over indulging on carbs for the last two weeks. Always within my calorie range so my weight is stable. Dialing back the carbs now :(
