Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Tuesday, January 21, 2014
Tuesday AM in India...
181.0 - down 0.6 from yesterday, breaking a horrible 3 day stall :)
Last night's dinner was an orgy of food at a fantastic hotel (Leela Palace) with one of my customers. They ordered enough for 12 (we were 6). And it was great. I was perfect - some shrimp, some chicken and some veg. Luckily, Tandoori chicken is just about the perfect food for me. That and a bit of cauliflower and broccoli in a nice sauce and I'm very happy.
Today will be a bit of a milestone. I'm signing the lease on our new office - we've outgrown our current space, and we're moving up to a nicer office, in a nicer part of town, and doubling our space to hold 100 people; we're currently around 50 here.
Have a great Tuesday!
Tom

101.8 lbs today. The nutritional goal for today is 1300 cals and 75 carbs. Let's see how that works!
Have a good one, all!

Good for you Fiona! When I did my initial increase from 20 to 80 grams of carbs and from 600 to 1000 calories, I held there (despite being terrified) for five weeks! The first four weeks, my weight bounced around from goal (baseline) to 3 pounds above. Very scary. By the end of the fifth week, I was below goal (baseline) so added calories again. So at least in my case, it took time for the changes to settle in, but it had no lasting negative effect. Hope that helps

Up another .4 to an even 178. I asked the question yesterday, but I think it was too late in the day. I was happily down to 174.4 late last week, and then over the weekend, I went up 3 lbs. Now I'm up another .4. My weakness on the weekends is not getting enough water in. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you fluctuate this much in a matter of days? Why?
Any input you can offer would be appreciated.
I do too. I haven't been able to trace it. Too many carbs, too much salt, too little water, travel, always seems to be a combination of those.
And sometimes it's just random. Up and down.

I'm the same as Tom. Usually dehydration or and/or prolonged excess carb intake are the causes of anything more than a pound for me.

Damn.
Staying away from carbs, but compensating with other stuff. Still hunting around for my maintenance calorie/carb/fat level. Need to be more scientific about it and get serious again about what's going to work and what isn't. :)
Tomorrow's exercise (and today's, for that matter) will be snow shoveling, as our snow blower never got fixed. They are predicting 8-12 inches at this point and bitter cold. Ah.
So glad I'm in India right now... -12 at home right now. Doing my best to avoid Minnesota for the month of January.
