Happy Monday morning everyone!  (I know it's still Sunday evening in the US, but it's 8am Monday here in India)

181.6 - amazing, same as when I left.  I brought my scale (a cool, mini scale that is my standard weighing machine at home) this time as I am on the road for 3 weeks solid and I'm not willing to let my weight drift.  I need to cut down to get ready for the cycling season...

First time I've done this flight without a serious gain.  I left my house at 3pm on Saturday, and got to my hotel in India around 3am (local time here) - about 36 hours later.

So what's different this time?  I was offered 4 meals on the plane.  I ate only one - the first one out of Minneapolis is always decent - chicken breast.  I skipped the rest.  I had breakfast in the Paris Air France executive lounge - chicken breast slices and coffee.  Yes, I DID have a mini-croissant, it's Paris.  I didn't partake in any of the food on the Paris-Bangalore flight.

To make up for the meals I ate: nuts, 2 quest bars, some 90% cacao dark chocolate and the various supplements I take. Probably went heavier on the nuts than I should have, but otherwise the results speak for themselves.

My goal for this trip is to maintain or lose a bit, and keep my momentum going.  Travel always is disruptive for me, and i'd really like to find a formula that keeps the weight from coming back.  The scale should help. I have a workout plan tailored for my hotel time... and I've tweaked my diet lately in a way that should keep me going...

Tom, you amaze me!!!!  Enjoy your travels. I hope you have some down time to enjoy yourself.

141.7# All is well in my world. I'm off today...lesson plans, working out and hand bell rehearsal.

I'm praying I can stop the crap eating while at school. I'm more prepared this week with foods.  I cooked yesterday for the week...pot of beans with ham, spiral ham, three bean salad, chicken salad and buffalo chicken salad.

Happy Monday!!!

TGFMS (thank god for my sleeve) tonight... Dinner at the fabulous Leela Palace hotel with customers.  They ordered enough food for 12 people, there were 6 of us.  I stuck with water before and then protein - stuffed and stopped well before I could get to anything bad for me...  Back at hotel and finishing my workout for the day (squats and lunges and planks that I can do in the room)... Then off to bed!

Okay, so late last week, I was really happy to be down to 174.4 which is only .6 from my pre-Christmas weight.  HOWEVER, by this morning, I was up to 177.6.  Really?  I know its not real weight because I know I didn't eat very many more calories through the weekend, but the one thing I always miss doing on those weekends is drinking water.  I really hope that if I get my water in, I will be back down to 174.4 in a hurry so I can get on with it from there.

Do you gain 3 lbs in 3 days if you don't drink enough water, anyone?

well still orbiting at 123. gonna have to face the music with dr.c at apt on saturday. oh well. i have gotten away from tracking due to lots of travel lately and general lazyness.  gotta get back on it.

Happy MLK day to all. If we consider what he accomplished and sacrificed and others with him,  that should put our weight struggles in perspective.
