145.8- Sometimes it's all just a big mystery. More joy in the fact that I got up early this morning to do my walking than that the scale dropped down so radically--guess there is a lesson to be learned somewhere. Just happy to have my head and behaviors on the same page.

116.0 today. Tom, your numbers are looking really good and your training blows me out of the water.
Looks like I will need another surgery coming up this year. I had three last year. All unrelated, but there just seems to be one thing after another. And I don't even consider myself a sickly person! I have to have at least one parathyroid gland removed to stop calcium leaching from my bones, which has caused osteoporosis. The endocrinologist doesn't want me running outside during the winter months because of fall risk, but I can't stomach treadmill running. I guess I'll have to dig the shoe grips out, which I hate wearing - but that's the compromise.
Have a good one, all.

Linda, I'm sorry to hear this. Will this be a big, complex operation or is it an outpatient-type thing? In either case, I hope it turns out to be an easy thing for you...

Not sure what surgery involves yet - will meet with ENT surgeon in about a month so should know more then. It's neck surgery, so can't imagine recovery is anything out of the ordinary. . . . and I'm grateful it's looking like a wonky parathryroid gland instead of some of the other possibilities because it can be completely corrected with the procedure.
